Can’t believe Anthony Gordon isn’t getting a mention, he’s been superb for Newcastle in a team struggling with injuries.
On the goalkeepers, Jack Butland has been excellent for Rangers domestically and in Europe, now I know he won’t get a sniff because he plays in Scotland but with Pickford the only keeper playing week in and week out, England could do a lot worse.

Gordon himself seems to be injured every other week though. If he's fit he should make the squad on form.

Butland was already proven to be a fumbling nonsense-case in the Premier League so I can't imagine him ever getting a look-in. You're right though, Pickford's place is pretty much set in stone these days, with Pope's injury and Ramsdale not being able to keep his place at Arsenal. As for Dean Henderson... don't even know what the hell happened to him. Can we call up Mary Earps?

Butland has no chance. Southgate needs to make sure there is at least one player in every position that hasn't played football. So Ramsdale is a shoe in.

Gordon has played in 22 of Newcastles 23 league games. He also played all 6 Champions League games, 3 EFL games and 2 FA Cup games.

Are you sure he is injured every other week???

You have mixed Gordon up with someone else. He is currently injured but that is pretty much the first time this season. He has been an absolute regular for Newcastle. Definitely worth a go in one of the warm up games, replaces Rashford as the speedy alternative to Grealish down the left.

He would 100% be on the plane if I was choosing the squad. He'd be a great player to bring on against tiring legs and in 5 years could be a mainstay of the side so experience this early in his career would be great.

At the age of 23, I wonder how he hasn't managed to show he is good enough up to this point. Were players like Henderson keeping him out of the Liverpool side? He hasn't exactly played a huge amount of games in the league in his career up to this point.

Also seen Ross Barkley mentioned.
Yes he’s having a good season,but again better players in his position.

I can't find the report, but from what I read ESPN said there were 20 VAR errors this season, and Liverpool suffered from most (strange, because if you talk to fans weekly, there seem to be at least 3 or 4 bad calls every weekend)

I'd like to know exactly what those 20 VAR errors were. There was the Diaz goal ruled out for offside which was 100% wrong, but of the rest would be interesting to know how many of those errors were still somewhat subjective. Furthermore, I'd also then like to know how many VAR incidents were NOT included. Any slightly controversial VAR call in a Liverpool game will be all over the media, and I can hear the violins being played in Liverpool all the way from Lincoln. But how much publicity will VAR decisions in games like Palace v Burnley make? There might be a snippet about it on MOTD, but it'll barely be talked about thereafter. People like Howard Webb will be less inclined to come out to the media and admit a mistake may have been made.

I've a sneaky suspicion that this report has some big flaws. But, maybe I'm wrong, after all it is summarised on Twitter.
