Not so often there is a Liverpool match on here and no comments approaching 3/4 of the game.

Where is LP these days, Stu,perhaps at match, and to a lesser extent now Liverbirdie

Great game btw and Newcastle goalie has been exceptional

Still hanging around got a bit fed up with it

Stu on holiday at the moment , not sure where Pete is but he prob got fed up as well

Game was a great watch , played some great football tonight and Newcastle certainly played their part

Didn't see the game tonight but obviously a good one and a great win for Liverpool but have to say those 2 penalties decisions! Seriously...especially the 2nd one how can that not be overturned. Keeper Didn't touch Jota then realised he had taken the ball too wide and then clearly dived. Astonishing officiating

The keeper did make contact with Jota

GK stated that he made contact with Jota , what didn’t help or look good was the way the player down

If the player stumbles then it’s a foul but we know the referee won’t give it which is why the players feel they need to go down to get the penalty

Can’t see the issue with the first though , he was clearly clipped and tried to stay on his feet

The referee was having a good game until the Joelinton incident - it was a good advantage he played but clearly should have been booked , he then had another clear booking which was ignored and instead booked Diaz and that’s where he lost control of the game.

But was a good exciting game , best we have played for a while , shame Mo will be away for 4 weeks or so but players like Jota will need to step up

The biggest miss could be Endo , been outstanding for us since he got settled

Jota is just back from injury so he should be able to fill the void Salah leaves.
At least we knew when we signed him he would probably be called up, and Endo too.

Yep - we knew it the last two times he went away , same when Mane and Keita left and it’s also the same when players going to South America for WC Qualifiers

If you want players of quality then where they come from shouldn’t matter , if a club is worried about losing players because of AFCON at times having to be hosted in Jan because of weather then don’t buy those players.

Will be great to see if Salah can win AFCON

Aaaaaand it’s business as usual from the Match of the Day “pundits” when it comes to analysing the Forest game.

Forest dominated United for most of the game. United couldn’t handle Elanga, our midfield outplayed theirs, we created and took our chances. Aside from our keeper gifting them a goal, our defence quelled every attacking threat and made Gezpacho and Rashford look ordinary.

How did the MOTD pundits analyse the game though? They went straight to talking about Manyoo and where they were lacking. They analysed the goals from their point of view and discussed what’s going wrong for them. Not a single positive thing to say about Forest’s performance, not a single word of praise for any of their players. All Manyoo.

Hang on, we got a “fair play to Forest” at the end though, so we should be grateful for that.

Big Six Bias yet again from the media. How anyone can possibly argue that it doesn’t exist, I have no idea. Blinkers I suppose.
This really annoys me about Lineker and MOTD.
Have to say though, it's not always the big six.
I remember last season when Brighton completely outplayed Southampton in all areas and their analysis was all about where Southampton went wrong.
Shocking!

Soon as sidwell said Brighton hadn't a clean sheet all season it was always going to be 0-0

Not a game to write home about. Until Brighton brought Adam lallana on I'd say we were just about edging it but then they should have won.

4 clean sheets on the bounce and 10 points in 4 games

That will do to go into the premier league break
