Interesting. Sensible move to have a relatively low profile PL fixture to start the process.

Klopp is a bit of a joke though, to be fair.

He doesn't complain about his £15 million salary. Nor did he complain when he couldn't buy Darwin Nunez for €80 million

If Liverpool fans that go to matches really are that annoyed about 12:30 kick offs, then stop moaning. Make a stand and just don't go. If Liverpool are playing in empty stadiums, then I'm sure the authorities will think twice about giving them a 12:30 kick off, as it would look terrible. But, that won't happen. Match going fans will continue to go to these matches, they'll continue to sing songs, they'll continue to cheer when their team do something good and they'll boo and give the V sign when they get annoyed about something.
They have already paid for their tickets though why would they do that.?

Its more the away fans given the transport links up here.

Everywhere isn’t like London.!

That’s probably why the Utd fans don’t complain about early kick offs. 25 mins to get home on the tube. 😉

I’ll bet Joey Barton is apoplectic.

True, everywhere is not like London. And if you are a fan of teams like Newcastle, Sunderland, Southampton, etc. then it is inevitable that you are going to have some long trips. If you are a fan that commits to going to away games, you price that into your thinking. Geography sucks, I know. Perhaps Newcastle fans should just move to London and travel from there? :)

I do have some sympathy, however, if the kick off is ever changed very last minute, like if it was a week or 2 beforehand. There should be some time allowed for people to sort out logistics knowing the kick off won't change (except for extreme circumstances like bad weather)

Is there a way back for him Billy or was he released

He’s on loan, Tash. I really don’t know what the future holds for him, but with all the other issues the club clearly has I really can’t see United adding to their problems by having him back any time soon.

Like I said, if you had asked them at the outset if they would settle for 1 win from 6 and bottom of the group, not many would have taken that.

I didn't ask them, it would have been a weird question though 🤣
I know a lot of fans thought their team would be up against it given the class of teams they had drawn.
Dortmund, really should be reigning Bundesliga champs and always do well in the group stages.
PSG, well are PSG and any team with Mbape in their line up aren't going to be pushovers.
Milan, weren't they Champions League semi finalists only 8 months ago 🤔
I think you're looking for an angle that doesn't exist.

That is one way of looking at it. Another is that Man Utd have so many problems, adding another to the pile is going to be less noticeable :)

I’m not looking for an angle, I’m just expressing an opinion that the group wasn’t as tough as people have made out. They are all big names but Milan and Dortmund are struggling domestically, and PSG are a long way from the team that had Messi and Neymar as well as Mbappe.

Let’s see how far Dortmund and PSG get in the knockout stages.

Dortmund, PSG and AC Milan isn’t a tough group, Wowsers, however you want to look at it!!
