Brilliant goal by Villa.

That is precisely the difference between Villa and Utd. Utd get into that position on the wing. But Villa show composure, and get ball to McGinn. The Utd winger makes a terrible decision and chance comes to nothing

Just seen the three goals United conceded. Soft is an understatement.

I remember watching Barca play Sevilla at the Pizjuan, I think it was 2014 (could have been a cup game), Sevilla went 2-0 up comfortably nullifying Barca’s tiki-taka by press and track methods, really closing out the spaces and options. Half time came and Moreno obviously clicked as to what was happening. Second half Barca started bypassing midfield, playing longer balls and putting crosses in more direct. This was where Sevilla started to concede and it ended 2-2.

If Villa set up like they did last night and counter the pass and move with that energetic press/stifle then I can see you getting a result. Arsenal have shown on multiple occasions this, and end of last season, that they don't like being pressurised.

As with Sevilla (and I say this only on limited viewing of Villa this season) that they are more likely to be done by long ball merchants than they are by possession based attacking. But again, I could be wrong as what I have seen is limited to a few live games and extended highlights.

Indeed they were. Should have been 4-0, bit Utd got lucky due to the pathetic handball rule were goal ruled out if ball accidentally hits scorers hand.

When McTomminay plays, I get nervous. He has shown he can score goals, but if he doesn't, he also offers very little in the midfield. Not just down to him, as the lack of quality in final 3rd is plain to see from the team.

At least there was effort today. Keep that up, work on our finishing, we will absolutely destroy Liverpool.....

Me. It’s about time I started letting head rule heart for a change. But even saying that, and despite Bournemouth being in a decent run of form, head would still have said home win.

Perhaps I should just leave United games out of my selections. Apart from games against anyone in the top ten, which of course they are bound to lose.
