Wow!

Just makes me question how that's sorted so quick and City have 100+ claims against them with no clear idea where its going

Is it because city have so many charges that makes it harder?

That and an entire states legal team behind them

Definitely at the top of the scale. I'm also surprised it is effective immediately. Saying that, the 3 teams previously holding those spots are so poor that this is our best chance to cope with a 10 point deduction.

I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking this should perhaps have been resolved last season. I would imagine Leicester City’s legal team are sharpening their pencils as I type.

Indeed it should. Didn’t Leicester and Leeds both say they were watching with interest?

One good point, we may, may not, lose 10 points but our goal difference is worth a point against those at the bottom 😝.

In terms of clubs relegated last year, retrospective action will not happen. The PL will have covered that.

I'd imagine the Premier League rules that all clubs sign up to state that time needs to be given for the legal case to go through the process.

Just be told the news. Laughed out loud. At least we’re good at being rubbish. :D

Looking forward to Citeh’s 1150 point deduction.

Quote from Jamie Carragher

The 10 point deduction for Everton is excessive and not right, considering they have been working with the PL about this for the last couple of years. Would it have been better to be evasive and try to drag it out like other clubs?

"No doubt relegated clubs will have put big pressure on the PL to deal with Everton, but when you consider 6 clubs tried to leave the PL and there was no sanction at all it doesn’t feel right.

"Until other clubs are sanctioned Everton will feel they are being used to show there is no need for an independent regulator, and they are right."

It feels weird, I like what he has written

Sean will be planning for the big push next year already. It gives him another season without the pressure of European football to stretch the squad. City will be penalised 40 point next season, Chelsea 35 points. We will be pushing top 4 🤣
If Man City got docked 40 points next season, they'd still finish ahead of Everton :)
