Definitely at the top of the scale. I'm also surprised it is effective immediately. Saying that, the 3 teams previously holding those spots are so poor that this is our best chance to cope with a 10 point deduction.

Yes, the club are appealing. Without knowing the ruling and full evidence it is hard to know how that will go. If 10 points is the worst case, okay we deal with it. If it is reduced, even better.

I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking this should perhaps have been resolved last season. I would imagine Leicester City’s legal team are sharpening their pencils as I type.

One good point, we may, may not, lose 10 points but our goal difference is worth a point against those at the bottom

I'd imagine the Premier League rules that all clubs sign up to state that time needs to be given for the legal case to go through the process.
Sean will be planning for the big push next year already. It gives him another season without the pressure of European football to stretch the squad. City will be penalised 40 point next season, Chelsea 35 points. We will be pushing top 4

. Mind, that is the same for most teams in the league. They would have come 11th last year, 8th the season before.
