Be thankful you made it to pens. If Sevilla had a half decent striker they'd have been out of sight.

My only concern is that Haaland was pretty much anonymous for 90 minutes...no doubt saving himself for the big match on Saturday!!!

I've seen similar comments on social media about this but haven't watched, or followed, the match myself. Looked at the BBC Sport live text for the penalty shootout and then looked at the stats. Surely if Man City had a half decent striker they would have been out of sight based on the chances created.....

Or were the 8 Sevilla chances more clear cut than the 23 shots City had?

Not having a go at you or any other poster with a similar opinion as I haven't seen the game, but from the stats it looks as though City dominated it.

Sevilla created excellent chances, cut City open on counter several times. Not sure Haaland had a sniff.

The young guy Palmer played well though.

I didn’t see the game either, but good old stars hey🤷‍♂️

Personally I thought City got away with one big style. City looked Poor in the first half. Very poor. Haaland is just not being picked out. He needs Alvarez as a partner. Second half was better when it was changed.
Sevilla had some good chances but Ederson was on form. MOTM for me.
It’s odd but having seen the stats and game. It don’t tell a full story for me.
I cannot remember the last time I have been so hot at a game.
On the beer now guys rehydrating😉

How good is Phil Foden?
He’s now 23,so for me he needs to be an automatic starter & bossing games regularly.
It was an odd game for him. pep switched him
In the second half and he looked better. But he looked like he played within himself. I don’t want to sound critical of City but they missed Stones, Dias and Bernardo.

Anyway my thoughts on Mason Greenwood.
He has given Utd a massive headache to deal with.
Technically he was found not guilty but my lad has seen the videos and voice messages and if it was your daughter you would do time if you got your hands on him.
But he is a young lad and if he has shown remorse. Should he get another chance. If not then that applies to every person who is in that situation.
That person includes Mendy who was At City and he treated women like crap. Even though he was also not guilty he tarnished his owners name/ brand or whatever you want to call it. Mendy has left and not one City fan has shed a tear.
Greenwood deserves another chance. But not at Utd.

found not guilty? no his charges were dropped.. slight difference

I think the best thing for everyone is to sell him to the saudi league... his attitude towards women would suit there

It is a slight difference but he was not guilty of charges. They were dropped but the
“ evidence” is there.
Utd have a hot potato.
And am off to bed.

Enjoyed Pep's sarcasm at the press conference. Makes no sense our game being on Saturday.
I tend to agree with @DPapas1982 , it goes with the territory. Personally, I think the Super Cup is on a par with the Charity Shield so I would have put your reserves out last night and saved your players for the weekend.

If nothing else, it would have sent a message out about fixtures being too close together.
