So you say it’s rubbish that they’ll get more tired by playing an extra ten minutes but then go on to say the managers should use their subs more effectively and use the available technology to help.Footballers aren't running continually for 90 (or 100) minutes. They barely run for half that so any notion that they may be extra tired in the 10 added minutes is rubbish. They get plenty of rest during the week and big clubs have big enough squads and loads of substitutes so maybe managers should get a bit cleverer when using subs instead of leaving it to added time to try and waste a bit more time. The players also wear the tech to monitor their fatigue so the coaching staff should know when they get fatigued.
So which is it? Will they not get more tired or will they need to adapt?
