Asan Ho is an interesting one, Ave said it before but Foden was slated when Sancho went to Dortmund. Look at what Foden has in the cabinet compared to Sancho.
what I don’t get is managers could not get Sancho to replicate his Dor tune form. I thought Ten Haag would. Would not like Sancho to turn into another Sturridg.
It wouldn't surprise me if Sancho was completely destroyed by a full season of coaching under Ole, and then Rangnick. Confidence shot to pieces, and not a quick fix for any decent manager who then comes through the door.

I wouldn't just say Sancho either. I think a lot of the players, who played under Ole for several years, will have damaged to some degree and very difficult to undo that damage fully, at least quickly. For example, I think even if Pep came in and managed United, he'd find it very tough to get the tune he wants out of those players. Whereas, if he had come in 3 years earlier instead of Ole, he would probably be able to get a tune out of them much more quickly.

I still despair and think of what things were like under Ole, after the honeymoon period ended. Honestly no idea what he was trying to achieve tactically, and can only imagine every team talk was him politely saying "attack, attack, attack", without any real clue on how to achieve that collectively.

I didn't see Sancho at Dortmund much, but understand he was at his best on the right? He came to United, and Greenwood was the preferred option on the right, and Rashford on the left. There didn't really seem to be a place for him, and I thought it was a strange signing. Had our primary target been a right-sided midfielder / forward, I would have understood it more.

So a player gets slated for wanting to play?

I respect him a lot more than Scott (2 CLs) Carson.
No he got slated because he thought he was better and bigger than he was.
Where as Scott Carson is a team player. He don’t create waves, he don’t think he is Bertie big balls. He don’t think he is Cancello who has gone down the same route as Sancho. That’s why pep and City have the treble. Playing with young kids who are prepared to learn like Foden, palmer and Lewis. 👍

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yep - nothing to do with the millions of pounds spent , was it zero - the number of youth products that started the final

Sancho is a very good player who did very well in Germany but got ruined by OGS at Man Utd - a move back to Germany will do him the world of good

Three players who have paid a key role in allowing squad rotation through a VERY busy season (y)

What a player he has been through his career

857 games so far

Won every single club trophy you can bar the Europa Lge

Hopefully he stays fit to get two seasons in at Brighton to break the appearance record - must be one of our best free transfers. Will be rightly remembered as a legend for us

Been a great player, but strange signing imo.
Legs have gone 🤷‍♂️

Carson isn't a squad player. He has like 120 minutes in his career with you.

He's there for the quota. He takes his money and fair play to him, but he gave up on a playing career years ago.

As to preparing to learn, Sancho went to dortmund. A club that in recent years probably has the best record in europe for brining out talent.

Pep is a great manager, but he drops players the second they don't fit, he's done it with countless players. How many CBs has he signed for you?

Palmer had 2 starts in your last three PL games, after the season was won, other than that he was a permanent sub where his only minutes game in games where me or you could have played in his place such was the core;one and minute he came on in. His only real minutes were the 3 league cup games. To say his role was key is a very big stretch.

Lewis,I will say, prior to checking his stats did impress me this season. having looked, he had a good mid season, was dropped when the business started and got a free pass at the end of season when it was won.

As to Foden, let’s not pretend he is in the same cater of our as tHe other two.

To say the first two are in anyway an example to why Sancho to stay is imo laughable.

Dias and Laporte are out and out centre half’s, Ake is a centre half who will play left back also he will play in a back three when Stones who is another centre half plays in midfield. Am not sure what “ how many centre half’s “ pep has signed, well what the point is. What it means from Citys point of view is that it has worked. For the record Peps main target is a. Enter half.

Re Sancho, bottom line, what has he learnt a at Utd.

Re Carson again I don’t get it, Carson is an experienced number 3. What should Pep do put a young un In There who should be at another club preparing to learn Like Sancho. 🤔😳

Pep is happy with Foden and Carson at City, one learning and one experienced what’s wrong with that. Incidentally both cost nowt 😉👍

No it’s not, Palmer is doing this season what Foden did in his early years, learning off the best in training.

Sanchos move to UTD has failed. Absolutely agree on that, but the move he made for his career was to Dortmund to learn, imo he’s a better player because of that. I’d love Pep to bring a few more English youngsters through for the benefit of England, but his record doesn’t show that he will. foden is more an exception than a rule.
hope-fully both Lewis and palmer become main stay. I’d be amazed if they do though.

Re Carson, he was signed for the English quota, nothing more or less. I havent slated Pep for making that signing and I’m Sure he’s great around the place, but he is never getting game time other than for nostalgia. My point was I’d rather a player take a chance on progressing their career than one accepting its over.

I think Peps issue with Cbs Is if his team concedes he blames them and not the fact he plays a formation that leaves teams space occasionally.

Re Pep and English players, they have loaned out three that I know of last season.Liam Delap who is at Stoke. Tommy Booth at Sheff Utd and James Mcatee who was also at Sheff Utd. I have heard they want both players this season, but can only loan one.James Mcatee is the one who is supposed to be a hot prospect. He is a Salford lad.

Sancho played under Solskjaer for a few months, not a full season.

Man Utd play completely different football to that Dortmund team. They simply don’t suit him so far but he is a fantastic talent. He’d be superb on the right for Man City.
