The Premier League have published the fixtures for the forthcoming season and I can't help thinking that it is the most pointless document ever. Once the TV people get hold of it, European fixtures take over and all the rest of the external factors, the timings of the games will bear no resemblance to this original list. How people can decide if they can justify a season ticket is beyond me when they have no real clue when games will actually be played.

Are you doing something at your ground? This sometimes happens to give time for work to finish, I think Luton will be in this situation.
For Everton, Fulham H, Villa A, Wolves H, Sheff Utd A, Arsenal H, Brentford A, Luton H. That is a decent start and gives Dyche a reasonable chance to get some momentum going.

Well if they are, they best get a wriggle on, they're at home second week of the season.
I'm sure I heard that things would be re-jigged to give them more time. The ground currently is not up to PL standards so they have to do work to it. Maybe they are ahead of schedule? Otherwise it will be like a Sky/ BT job, those are the dates until they are changed for the broadcasters etc.

Happy we haven't drawn a newly promoted team on day 1 away though. Newcastle away on day 1 will be a great bit of fun, both teams on a high from this season with points to prove next year.

Our ground wasn't up to PL standard last season and we barely got it ready in time with only having to sort the pitch, VAR etc. They've basically had to tear down a whole side of the ground - I'll be shocked (and impressed) if they get it ready in 2 months.
