What I never understood is why for 1 3rd party ownership was banned in premier league but loans were fine and how man United were fine to have the same agreement the next year? (no wait that was a loan.. so its fine to loan from a 3rd party but not "buy" from a 3rd party) all very muddy

Does it matter, in the sense what level of ban seems appropriate? Had the ban been for 6 months, but it didn't run through the close season, would that sound better?

I do agree with the sentiment re Toney, but ifnhe was banned and found innocent PL would of had more trouble.

But he pleaded guilty rather than found guilty , yes some offences he pleaded not guilty yet the amount he pleaded to would have covered the rest of the season
