Anyone who posted about GL on Wednesday either in “things that gladden the heart” (supporting his views) or in “Random irritations” ( against his views) was expressing a political opinion, this was dealt with by another mod who issued points to those concerned
That took 2 of those posters over the 10 point mark due to previous infractions which triggered temporary bans.

People posting on the footie thread about GL match of the day ban and his right to free speech or not are neither in support or against his views and are therefore not political.

If you cannot see the difference, then I can’t help you.

I’d say that an assumption was made what their intent was for posting his name.

All people want is some consistency, countless posts get left by people that comment on political situations with the caveat that they aren’t expressing their opinion yet at other times the axe is wielded quickly.

And not sure how you can say this whole discussion on GL standing down isn’t political, triggered by a controversial government policy.

It's pretty simple.

Take the political part out of it

He was asked to step aside for not being impartial

But then other presenters and members of the BBC are not banned for doing exactly the same thing

Like you say above... consistency.

Well the relegation battle looks like it’s going to a cracker

Everton winning puts West Ham into the bottom 3

6 points between the bottom 8 teams 😲

Tough call to make - is it Southampton plus 2 more

Are one of the big teams going to drop

Imagine if West Ham and Everton went with all the money they have put into the team over the last couple of years - will be some impressive stadiums in the Championship though

VAR at it again at Leicester it seems, look forward to seeing the experts views on it (2 potential reds and a pen shout so far) on MOTD later.................
Apparently, there won't be any experts or analysis on MOTD later! 🤣
