No consistency in reffing this year .
Fulham have a goal disallowed because someone trod on a foot making a tackle ,today against city a Brighton player in the city box gets his foot trodden on and play is waved on 🤬

Fantastic display by West Ham today. Throughly deserved victory. Thought the set up and balance of the site was much better.

Bring on the Spurs! 😆
Potter In!

Fabulous last 10 minutes. Can't believe the interviewer after the game had both Bowen and Wilson together and didn't ask about 'that moment ' 😳. He beats 5 players, about to shoot, oops 🫣

Biggest problem for me about VAR yesterday is the ref should have the balls to say “ you shouldn’t be getting involved and my decision stands”

Pathetic doing it after the game it’s no good to Fulham then.
This with knobs on. It's no use just blaming var, the onfield ref still has ultimate responsibility, so we are told

On fairness, they've already admitted it was an error yesterday. So, if it is assumed to be the same sort of thing today, it would be horrific if they decided to make the same error just to be consistent.

At least Brighton got the well deserved win

The interviewer probably didnt watch the game. He probably already decided what questions he would ask a day or two ago, based on whatever angle he was trying to push.

He may just draft up a couple of alternative sets, and pick the set that most reflects the final result

Seems Emi Martinez may have agreed terms with United and has been left out of the Villa squad this evening.

I won’t lie. I think the fella is a prize tool. But he’s a massive upgrade on what we have. And let’s face it. As my lad has just said, if Bruno played for anyone else he’d despise him, so maybe Martinez could be cut some slack if he pulled on a United shirt.

I know the talk remains of Lammens but I’m sure I’m not the only United fan who would be a little concerned to see a young keeper thrown into that team. What we need is someone with experience and a big personality.

Lammens may be one for the future. We need a keeper for the present.

Martinez will still cost you points, but it will be fewer than your current keepers. He has mistakes in him but as you say, he is a big presence.

Where does that leave Villa with one day to go? Do they have someone else lined up?

This will be a fantastic signing. A player for now, not just the future. He will do a job for 1-2 years and then Lammens will have grown and be ready to take over.

My thoughts exactly.

United desperately need a keeper with a big personality, and if this signing happens, there aren’t many out there who fit the bill more.

All keepers have mistakes in them. But what we have lacked for too long is one who isn’t afraid to shout and bawl at those in front of him. Onana and Bayindir are shrinking violets in that respect - neither command either their own eighteen yard box or the defence in front of them.

I’m still not convinced it’s going to happen but, if it does, it has the potential to be just what United are looking for in a big problem position.

Martinez is a 🛎️ end but he is a decent GK

I think there could be some big money spent tomorrow/tonight and a lot of players moving on but if United get Martinez none will make a difference more than him.

Might even keep them up 😂😂

Arsenal just don’t create anything from open play - nothing but set pieces
I was surprised how poor/negative Martinelli was, I remember him as being quick and skilful and always running at the opposition. Every time he got the ball today he passed backwards.

I suppose it’s the way modern football is played but very few players now seem to take their man on.

For me it makes the game less exciting and must be a lot easier to defend against
