the reason they were stood there together is because they were both being interviewed for the club's social media outlets. If you watch the Marinakis interview, you might actually see that he's legitimately an owner who cares and has massive ambitions for his football club(s). He will not sit back and just let the club turnover year after year (a la Steve Parish with Crystal "12th place" Palace)...he'll do whatever it takes to make sure the club succeeds - including pumping millions of his own money into the club to convert debt into shares.
He is very much hands on which in some cases is good for a club - and in some instances there maybe boundaries there

Will be interesting to see how he reacts if the club isn’t doing as well as last season etc

He'll have no issue getting rid of Nuno if he's not performing. He won't be trigger happy (see Cooper, he backed him during times of struggle, but knew when the time was right to change him), but if he thinks Nuno's run his course, then he'll move on.

I do hope we bring in the personnel to be able to switch up from our counter-attacking play and play with a bit more possession as I'd be worried we'll run out of steam again like we did this season without the quality in depth and a plan b.

John Percy, highly respected transfer journalist, has written an article in The Telegraph about how the MGW saga was Tottenham’s fault because they didn’t fulfil the terms of the release clause correctly. Which is what I said might be the case at the time.

Turns out the devil was in the detail of MGW’s contract and release clause. Which is what I said might be the case at the time.

Turns out this situation is absolutely no different to Crystal Palace/Michael Olise/Chelsea. Which is what I said might be the case at the time.

“If you can keep a Protected Six team from stealing away your star Number 10,
While all around you are farting out their ill-informed opinions on contracts and release clauses,
The details of which none of them are aware of or have access to,

Then you’re Nottingham Forest, my son”
And I mentioned the other day to CC that we know 0.1% of what actually goes off yet fans still get giddy about rumours. 👍

Too true.

We've been trying to sign Dan Ndoye from Bologna for the last week or so and I've seen fans have absolute headloss over Napoli fan accounts with about 200 followers making nonsense up that we're out of the race and Napoli are in pole position. There are about 2-3 trusted sources (plus the club's actual accounts) that can be trusted, everything else is just noise posted to help drive engagement and likes.

Think we wil make a bid if Newcastle are willing to actually sell him and then they will negotiate the price - seems the way it goes these days
This...you first, no you go first, no please you go first never goes anywhere.

Newcastle say they dont want to sell. It's up to Liverpool to test that resolve by making a bid.

Irrespective of whether a club wants to not sell, there comes a price point at which selling becomes a no brainer. But it is not for Newcadtle to tell Liverpool what that price point is.

I reckon It's probably around £125-£130m. But why should we tell prospective buyers that, when they might be willing/desperate/stupid enough to pay £140-150m?

I suspect there will be some level of movement this week - a formal approach with a bid and as to say it will prob end up with a deal around £125m

Liverpool has reportedly confirmed to Newcastle that it is willing to pay $161 million to

I think they'll tell them to try harder than that. £130m should be the lowest number, $161m is around £120m.
The $161m was originally quoted by the press on the 17th.

Wonder if using the Dollar value is a ploy to make it sound like we are getting more money?

News from Italy is he's rejected Napoli and chosen Forest.

Having a pop at 12th placed Palace, love it. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We won a major trophy pretty recently, the first one we have ever won. We have been in the lower leagues for most of our history, but we are currently enjoying our longest period in the top flight and our team and squad improves imo every season. If you think our chairman is 'sitting back' then fair enough, but I don't agree.
