I'm absolutely buzzing/bricking tomorrow night.

Arguably the biggest occasion since Wembley and that's not because of who the opponent is, but what's at stake....in reality, it's a free hit. We are currently the equivalent of a Polar Bear in Texas, so no one is expecting us to win or challenge for the title. Win and we're right behind the Scousers, lose and we've just come off the best form in the club's history with 6 wins and 5 clean sheets in all competitions...either way the lads deserve an applause. The atmosphere tomorrow will be absolutely electric; I'm biased but there is something very special about the City Ground under the lights.

Me too. I managed to get lucky and get a ticket and cannot wait! (Did you manage to get one in the end?) Forza Garibaldi are hopefully doing a big display and the atmosphere is going to hit harder than recreational drugs!

Has the potential to be a very special night - but also to be a big anti-climax of course. Not under-estimating the Scousers for one second, but it feels like if ever there's a good time to be playing them, it's now!

Slot has been very complimentary in his press conference about us, but also made a sly little dig about us spending lots of money. Ironic that, considering our entire first choice 11 cost us less in total than his keeper and a striker who mostly only starts on the bench. Ya don't fool us Slot. You're Jurgen Klopp Mark II - perfectly lovely when things go your way but a salty whingebag when things don't!

More drunk fans? :)
There's been a few 17.30 Saturday evening kick offs where it's obvious who has been out since 9am.
The pubs in Newcastle are ridiculously busy doing pints and breakfasts for fans at 9am, for a 3pm game. It's scary, the amount of drinking that some people do on match days. Hard core

I don't think it's drunk fans that help the atmosphere, there is just something about the darkness outside, the lights, it just works better 🤷‍♀️

If that was aimed at Pep and his team, that would be used as an incentive to get the boys going. Not that they should need much.
Around the early early 70’s me dad took me to the City ground to watch Forest v City. It was an evening game. The largest stand was the main stand. Forest won 2-1. At some point during the game the whole,e of the ground was singing “. Ome on you reds”. It was electric. It was the first time I had heard a whole ground singing and not just a Kop end. The electric Atmosphere at Forest is not just a recent thing. 👍

Seems to have got under your skin a little

Thought he was very complimentary of the Forest especially the manager and the results

Yep. We’re the first team to do that. Others may have to follow.
I don’t quite understand what’s the issue

He said maybe we shouldn’t be surprised that Forest have done well with the amount of money that’s been sent

Asked about the history between the two clubs during his pre-match press conference, Slot replied: “I think it was 10 minutes when someone told me that it was ‘78/79 that Liverpool [won the European Cup] and then Forest two years and then Liverpool again.

“I’m aware of that and I didn’t know the exact years but I did know that Forest was a big force in English football for a long period of time. But that’s a long time ago and now they are back at it.

“They are doing really good and Nuno is doing an incredible job, but if you look at the amount of money they have spent it is perhaps not a complete surprise that they do well this season.”

That's it, I was at both legs of the semi, we'd bottled an 11 point lead to West Brom the year before.

We were hammering you in that first leg before Forster got injured. He was a proper mini Henry at his best and unplayable for a few years around that time. Once he went off we had nothing on his level with that amount of pace. You gradually took control and ground us down over the rest of the tie. We had some good games with you back in the 90's when I first starting going too.
