That team against Newcastle was a car crash. I don’t think we’ll see Eriksen and Casemiro start a match together again !
Especially when you consider that Collyer got the nod over Casemiro against Arsenal.

I read that the decision was made solely between PL and FA, and EFL clubs were not consulted. That is what one person reported anyway to the mediaI suspect (pure gut feeling, no evidence) that the lower league teams were bullied into accepting a pittance from the big boys in return for no replays.

Surely Arteta has to act and bring in a striker this window? He's done a very good job rebuilding Arsenal but he seems blind to the fact he will get sacked soon unless he wins major trophies and he won't do that with the current attackers. In 2023 they needed a striker and he didn't act, the same thing happened last summer. It looks like stubbornness will cost him.
Havertz was tragic today and has been all season.

It’s a non league side that held spurs during normal timeI was listening to 5 live yesterday evening and the fawning over Tamworth was vomit inducing perhaps they can build a statue of the chap with the long throw.

Believe it’s 95 places between the two of them
They are going to try any way to get a result against a team that is worth multi millions
They should be getting plaudits this morning
Yeah I'm sorry , well done for being able to throw the ball such a long way .It’s a non league side that held spurs during normal time

Not just that. Also how plucky little Man Utd managed to stop the mighty Liverpool from getting all 3 points the week before. In fairness, from an attacking sense, Dalot was made to look like a 24 year old Ryan Giggs that day. Every other game, he has looked a bit more like Phil Jones in attackAt least they are now talking about how plucky little Man Utd managed to get past a big team into the next round as well - maybe they would have preferred a money spinning replay to help with finances

Did they have the option of switching it to Tottenham stadium? Just to much other football these days so something has to give and it will always be what the top clubs deem least important.hamburgerpete has just vomited again after reading your post
I thought the same - I didn't even realise they'd changed this. I was playing golf yesterday afternoon, just checking the score on my phone. I said to my mate "we've done the decent thing and made sure they get a replay at White Hart Lane". Then checked back later and realised it had gone to extra time. Another bit of the magic dies while they make life easier for the bigger clubs I guess. Tamworth were never going to last 120 minutes against a Prem side were they? FA Cup has been ruined. But they've already ruined the World Cup, and all the European club competitions, so they might as well spoil the FA Cup to complete the set.How much could Tamworth have earned from a replay at Spurs? Really annoys me that they've got ridden of them when they travel thousands of miles for friendlies.
In fairness, if you think Spurs still play at White Hart Lane, then I'm not surprised you didn't realise they recently scrapped FA Cup replaysI thought the same - I didn't even realise they'd changed this.
