I'm just surprised they didn't call it the ENIC Arena or something.
Missing a trick really. New stadium, no baggage with it. Get it sponsored, another source of income to throw into the spending restrictions mix.

I'm expecting the Everton stadium to get sponsored, obviously costing us a 5 point deduction next season but heck, easy way to bring extra money in.

A great source of income I imagine.

I'm sure I remember a story that we tried to get naming rights sold, but nobody went for it. Maybe we were charging too much for it.

Or maybe you were not asking the right people ;).

Must be the pricing. Should have compromised, not Mr Levy's thing though............
I suppose ultimately the fans don't want us to be playing at the "Cillit Bang Stadium" or the "Pringles Arena" or whatever, so if you are going to sell the naming rights you might as well keep the price high and make it worthwhile.

Heck, I'd have the Pringles Arena, love some Pringles  :ROFLMAO: .

I get your point but I'm sure there would be options. After all you have your shirt sponsors and multiple other sponsors. - I've just checked, apparently you have 37 sponsors . Your sleeve sponsor is for a crypto currency exchange company, your training gear the obligatory betting company so you are clearly not that fussy.

Remember when Everton (I think) had 'Angry Birds' on their sleeves? I could go for the Angry Birds Arena. Fire some angry bird props off the roof as a PR stunt.

I think that would be a hoot. We could also have people in Angry Birds 'mascots' going around the ground, great fun. I'm sure the 'Toffee Lady' wouldn't mind :ROFLMAO:

Back in the early 00s we were sponsored by Doritos, they used to leave boxes and boxes in the concourse to help yourself.

I'm absolutely buzzing/bricking tomorrow night.

Arguably the biggest occasion since Wembley and that's not because of who the opponent is, but what's at stake....in reality, it's a free hit. We are currently the equivalent of a Polar Bear in Texas, so no one is expecting us to win or challenge for the title. Win and we're right behind the Scousers, lose and we've just come off the best form in the club's history with 6 wins and 5 clean sheets in all competitions...either way the lads deserve an applause. The atmosphere tomorrow will be absolutely electric; I'm biased but there is something very special about the City Ground under the lights.

It’s going to be a damp squib

Always is when matches get hyped

Will either be a cagey 0-0 or 1 nil

And most grounds midweek under the lights are a great atmosphere

If little Man Utd can get a draw at Anfield, with no players that could get anywhere near the Liverpool 1st team, then I'm fully expecting Forest to absolutely smash Liverpool at the City ground tomorrow. Certainly the result I'd hope to see.
