Not sure what the issue is but it’s not “unfair” if VAR is not used in one round but is used in the semi finals

It’s the same for all the teams in that round
Surely that only stands true if you’re not on the end of a bad decision or the beneficiary of that decision.

VAR was introduced to help the Officials and last night 2 results could of been reversed, you said yourself Jesus looked offside in their match and others commented on here Lpool possibly got lucky.

For Palace and Southampton those decisions could of changed their seasons, call it whataboutery or anything else if you like, but if a ground is equipped for VAR then there’s no reason not to use it.

Yes clubs got potentially lucky without VAR last night but they all knew before the comp started that VAR wouldn’t be used until the semi finals

We know Phil, it’s still hard to justify why it wasn’t used and we, once again, lay the blame on “lazy”, “useless” Officials.

Blame of what ? The Liverpool incident would have been hard for either official to see and again that might and probably would have been ref call

The offsides are a little different

But both levels of decisions have been given wrong even with VAR 🤷‍♂️

In the studio at half time they questioned whether Nunez was offside for the first goal, apparently is was “hard to call” as the Linesman wasn’t up in play.

You yourself said Jesus was offside and questioned how the linesman didn’t see it.

Qansah could of had a Red and miss the next game!

It’s poor when the use of VAR would of cleared all three incidents up.

No problem though, we know the rules.👍🏻

No idea about Nunez but the replays showed him onside

Yes Quansah “could” have had a red card and miss the next game

But it’s all coulds etc etc

And ill have the refs and linesman’s doing the work without var all day long - the game is better for it and VAR hasn’t stopped mistakes happening and had prob created even more issues
