Maybe they should have sung that song about how amazing and beautiful Scousers are. Maybe they'll sing that one in the 2nd half

Or maybe they just don’t sing about poverty eh - or is that just too hard

Not great to be singing about poverty though is it 🙄

Oh Phil, please move on. Every time United fans sing about Scousers you simply have to comment.

Every set of fans sing about other clubs. It’s part of the game and, whatever the song subject matter, it really doesn’t merit debate here each and every time it happens. Really, it doesn’t.

Part of the game ? It’s comments like that which attempt to justify it and enable it

They aren’t singing about a “club” - they are singing about poverty

It’s not “part of the game” to sing about poverty - it’s low level iq behaviour from a bunch of idiots

And yes it should merit debate but too many just try and brush it off

I’m sure all those people going to food banks every day in Manchester must be delighted to hear brain dead football fans sing it

Please, Phil, for the sake of this forum, move on.

The debate has been done time, and time, and time again. We’re not going to change it by constantly dragging it up here.

Nobody is saying tragedy chanting, singing about poverty and so on is acceptable. But it’s been happening at games for more years than any of us care to remember, and a few comments here are never going to change it.

That’s my final comment on it.

They're football supporters.
Do you expect them to sing songs expressing their hapiness over how well Elon Musk is doing?
