To be fair - it's not necessarily WHO we beat, it's the way we went about it. I guarantee you, in the last two seasons, under those circumstances we'd have lost the game 99 times out of 100. And the other time, we might have nicked a lucky draw.

we've not had a come-from-behind win in forever and the last time we got an injury time goal was vs Millwall in our promotion season to beat them 1-0.

I mean, you're entitled to your opinion, but beating a side with a poor recent record that hasn't won a game at the weekend post-europe this season probs wouldn't be mine! :ROFLMAO:

Hope you keep this up, come the end of Jan if you're still in the mix it'll be great!

It wasn't that good a win against us at the weekend :ROFLMAO: We've repeated that exact same display about 6 times this year, the Liverpool away win is far bigger!
After 2 years of throwing leads away, actually turning one around in our favour is more significant than you'd think.

Are you guys blind to how good you are this season or something :ROFLMAO: a comeback win at home against Villa being better than beating Liverpool at Anfield?! Thats a once in 5 year thing for clubs like ours!

It's stupid, but for a while we've always looked more likely to steal a win against the "big" clubs than grind out a victory against our peers.

If you'd watched how many times we'd thrown away 2-0 leads the last two years, or simply just given up when going behind, you'd understand

I'm afraid Elliot is 22 so can't be included

I feel we need to change it to under 23 as 23 is young in premier league teams now days
Yeah it's pretty hard to break into a Prem team at 20/21 these days. The under-21s with the best average ratings on WhoScored are:
Buonanotte (Leicester)
Fatawu (Leicester)
Hall (Newcastle)
Baleba (Brighton)
Mainoo (Man Utd)

For most clubs it's slim pickings and you wouldn't have two of them to choose from even. Spurs have Johnson at 23, Udogie at 22, Sarr 22, Dragusin is 22. Our under-21s don't start in the league but they sometimes start Europa games and cup games (Gray, Bergvall, Moore, Lankshear etc).

Elliot Anderson was 21 on the first day of the season though so he should count in my opinion. So was Pape Sarr actually, so I'm revising mine and he can be my one. 😁

I see Vinicius Junior has just won men's player of the year in the FIFA Best Awards. He used his acceptance speech to talk about people trying to cancel him, nobody is going to tell him who he can fight, etc.

Sometimes I wonder that, if footballers fight for social causes that go well beyond football (e.g. racism, school meals, etc) they get a lot of well deserved praise. But, then I feel that praise goes to some of their heads, and suddenly they think they are immune to criticism in regards to football related matters. So much so, that if they don't actually win an award like best player on the planet (Balon D'Or), or people question their work rate, they see that as rejection and that this is a sign that people are against everything they stand for.

They're not traditionally an intelligent bunch. Someone needs to sit Vinicius down and give him a slap.

Mid-Season awards
Your club : Forest
Best Player so far : MGW. His never give up attitude seems to motivate all those around him.
Best Young Player so far (U21) : Limited choice. By Orikoru's standard above, I'll pick Elliott Alderson.
Best win of the season : 4-0 v Spurs, Boxing Day 2024 😎
Worst loss of the season : Forest 1 Newcastle 3
Are you convinced by your gaffer : Utterly. Not many PL managers seem like lovely fellas. Hope we can hang on to him for the next 10 years.

Newcastle?

Good shout re: MGW by the way. Find it utterly baffling that some of our fans think he's rubbish because of all the flick-y stuff he does. But he's the ONLY player willing to try and take risks to put us in a better position and was outstanding 2nd half on Saturday.

Just because it was a momentum breaking home loss.
Can't believe anyone could question what MGW does. Even when he's off form he gives everything. Never seen him hide.

How can you claim a win from (I presume) last season in this season’s awards? Unless you are some sort of fortune teller 🤪
