Well Ave just got back from a fantastic weekend oop north at Beamish and York. My only regret was getting back in time to see the game.
Having looked at Citys team, Gundoghan should never of returned. Walker is a shadow of himself and Nunes at left back with Gvardiol in front was an accident waiting to happen. Even KDB now looks a shadow of the player he was. When we were 1-0 up it was purgatory watching City.
The summer business of Alvarez and Palmer going to be replaced with Gundoghan and Savio must go down as our worst ever transfer window.
Haaland, I keep reading every week about how brilliant centre half’s are keeping him quiet. The only people keeping him quiet are Citys midfield.
City have got back that typical City tag.
As I mentioned, I was at my daughters for tea. She mentioned that the lads on another shift were doing there firearms training with her. They were on nights within the last week. Walker was in Sheffield and was absolutely smashed out of his skull. His car was attracting a lot of attention on CCTV. So the bobbies investigated. Walker was hammered. A Bouncer at the club where he was smashed drove the car home. Now if it was the end of the season I wouldn’t mind, but he is in the middle of Citys worst ever slump and he is playing atrocious ( don’t even get me started on the pussy head butt). He has lost his hunger. He wants binning at the end of the month.
Yes we have had injuries, and they have cost us, but other teams have suffered.
For me Pep looks burnt out.
Re Utd. Amorim is proving he is the man to turn them around. The team he has playing for them look a million miles better than the dross under ETH. Hopefully he can get them to kick on.
As daft as it seems, the daughter’s partner asked me how I thought the game would go. I said it would be tight and gone is the day where Utd would get a bucket full or City would get a bucket full.
Bottom line, both teams have a lot of work to do to catch Chelsea and Liverpool. For me the title is going West of Manchester and not south and if City don’t have a fantastic winter transfer window, they can kiss any hope of the champions league qualification in the head.

Didn’t Palmer go to Chelsea 18 months ago

Today, we really got great value in having Mike Dean as a Sky pundit.

In relation to the challenge on Hojlund, and a shout for a penalty, Dean said "I don't think that is enough in a game like this"

It's great to know that there are other games it could be a penalty, but in games like you have today, no penalty. That's why Sky employ the experts...

2 bang average teams….good to get over the line and Amad is our best player every week. It won’t get said anywhere but I thought Maguire was really solid today.
To be fair in the first half and most of the 2nd I just couldn't see where Utd's goals were going to come from. Their reluctance to play a forward pass and take a chance was incredibly frustrating

Yeah that comment would have been comical if he hadn't meant it to be taken seriously. Shocking refereeing decision.

That and Bruno kept giving the ball away !

I was wondering why Antony doesn’t come on and play down the left as a left wing back. He could at least try to get to get in behind and pull it back to the strikers. This would let us play Dalot on the right and him and Amad down that side would be very dangerous.

People can say what they want about Neville and Carragher, whether you like them or not at least they show passion, albeit through tinted glasses every now and then.

Mike Dean on the other hand should be nowhere near tv. He’s abysmal on Soccer Saturday. A turnip has more charisma.

Wouldn't like to be Pep's face/head tonight. He'll be looking like he's been dragged through a bush backwards by tomorrow.

I mentioned to Tash he looked burnt out last season and probably needed a break. To give him a new deal seemed madness. This isn't going to end well unless there's some major changes in January. The business of selling Alverez and not replacing him, is a key reason why Haaland looks so off the pace. He's played nearly every game this season because there's no one else with Bobb out injured. Walker has also reached the point where he looks like his head has gone.

Aye City are bacvk in a sad place with aging players who've tasted success & so far have got away with goodness knows what. Their Kingdom is crumbling as United's is growing.

It was one of the most peculiar comments I have heard in recent times watching football.

Thought Neville’s comments post match about Rashford and Garnacho were bang on the money.

I’m liking Amorim more by the day. The message to his players is simple - if you don’t train to the level expected, you don’t feature. But every week is a new week.

So whilst he’s not casting players adrift at this stage in proceedings, he’s letting them all know that nobody is too big a name to be left out. Rashford has been sulking for months. So too Garnacho in recent weeks. As a fan, I don’t want to see attitudes like theirs. I want eleven Amads in my side.

Nope. If it takes that long to figure it out, it’s close enough to go with the on field decision regardless of the team.
If you can't see that an obvious offside isn't seen in your 30 secs and then later it's proved offside and your team lose because of it. I don't think there's a supporter or manager that's going to say "oh well! fair decision the 30 seconds was up"
