Yet you brought Rooney into the conversation.
The point was simple - his charisma or even IQ is irrelevant, it was no doubt irrelevant for Rooney when he was tearing it up in the Prem.
Yet you brought Rooney into the conversation.
Maybe we should stick to a conversation people are more comfortable with, like who has the most punchable face.
Or Antony? He has a Richarlison type scowlIt’s either Richarlison or Bruno Fernandes. I can never decide.

But, but, but, he's not that sort of player..............It's Son, for me ........................ butter wouldn't melt, and all that.

Cole Palmer was at City from 2010-23, he was born in Wythenshaw, the heartlands of City supporters. He had one season in the first team as a pro and played 19 games in a season where City won a shed load of trophies with world class players. He held his own. Yet like I say, he wanted to move on for more football when this was his breakthrough season. I could understand if he had been at City for 2-3 seasons and languished on the bench. But his time at City around the players he played alongside helped to develop him into the player he is now.Except pick him to play !
Haaland ...Few sensitive people on here tonight. Maybe we should stick to a conversation people are more comfortable with, like who has the most punchable face. Or who's head looks like it is made of lego.
Always make me laugh when people say they hate someone else, without actually meeting or knowing them. Yes, you may dislike a person but hate?I sort of assume the Son hatred is just a mickey take, because he does come across as one of the nicer guys in football? I've heard it a few times now, so it seems to have become a bit of a meme.

Not at all. He broke gomes ankle. Cried that he isn't that kind of player then fee games later was sent off for lashing out at someone. Yeah really not that kind of player
He loves a dirty tackle
Was gonna say - I actually love his interviews. You can say he's not the sharpest sandwich at the picnic, but I love that he doesn't pretend to be something he's not. Just give the one word answers if that is all that's required. I massively prefer it to the likes of Kane and Southgate who've been media-trained to the point of saying nothing other than clichés. Palmer's interviews are funny for how straightforward he is.Every Palmer interview goes viral, he knows what he's doing!
A bit of context! Son was not happy about not getting a foul a few moments before and chased after Gomes, did he intend to foul Gomes, absolutely 100% Yes, did intend to break his ankle, absolutely 100% No.Let’s have a bit of context here
Son tripped Gomes and from that trip Gomes studs caught in the turf and he dislocated his ankle
Son was in bits afterwards because of the injury
Son’s reaction to Gomes injury shows how hard it is for players to walk away | Football | The Guardian
From John Fashanu to Andoni Goikoetxea, it is not just the injured who feel the pain of career-threatening tacklesamp.theguardian.com

It was still a result of Son’s petulance.
Look how convinced you lot are about Pickford on VVD, Pickford apologised, said he had no intent to injure VVD, yous wanted him banned for life!
Context my backside!
I don't really understand why it has to be a 'routine' or an act? He is a genuinely nice guy, but like most top players he is ruthless and competitive on the pitch. The two things are not exclusive. There are barely any top players in the Premier League era who didn't have that competitive edge to them. You'd have to go back to someone like Lineker for an example of someone who didn't.I certainly don't hate Son, I just don't buy the innocent player routine. He will deliberately trip, foul and niggle players along with the rest of them.
He had a couple of incidents close together that had consequences and these were followed by the 'he's not that sort of player' comments. Well, clearly, he is that sort of player . Did he mean to break Gomes ankle? I very much doubt it. Did he deliberately foul him with no intention of playing the ball to break up an attack? Yes. He is that type of player.
