That's what keeps me indoors on days like this. Wrong place, wrong time and it's curtains. Last storm a driver died after being hit by a tree plus when I was 18 my friend's boyfriend was hit and paralysed from the chest down. Aint worth it.

Where we walk the dogs, literally two minutes walk from our door, there are very old, rotten trees either side. One had come down across the track yesterday - huge piece that would have probably killed someone if they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We've all stayed home today.
Totally.
Had a bike ride organised today.
Down the river to see the Prince of Wales carrier then over to Birkenhead and along the river to Chester.
Not a chance I’m going out again.

Just in case anyone is struggling for Christmas present ideas, I’ve just seen this in Tesco. The sequel will be called “The Headless Chicken”.

@Lord Tyrion if this isn't okay delete it again

However it's now been confirmed Antonio has been involved in a serious road crash this afternoon. I won't post the pictures of his car that's gone on the socials.

However the club statement has been put out

As the picture is already in the public domain I’m not going to delete it from here, but will urge a degree of caution because I know how secure these scenes are kept.

If that is genuinely an image of his car, it’s been leaked by either someone from within the emergency services or a vehicle recovery agent, because no press or public would have been allowed anywhere near it.

It's the "if" part that bothers me. Who really knows and that's how these things get spread as the truth.

Plus. Is it just me or does that picture look odd. Bonnet intact. Drivers side to door jamb has gone...could be completely wrong but it may not be genuine.

Hope he is going to be ok but it doesn’t look good if the club are offering thoughts and prayers.

Don’t know if the picture is real but if it is it looks grim.

Sideways, at an angle, into a tree? We’re starting to speculate… I hope everyone involved is ok.

Not sure whether the picture needed posting, though.
If people wanted to see it they should have to go looking for it, not have it thrust upon them.
Wishing him well.

It’s in the mainstream media. Had it not been I would probably have deleted it.

Unfortunately pictures all over Internet of the Car, including some on the Daily Mail site with other cars driving past, looks like road is open with car still in situ.🤷‍♂️
I’ve cut off the majority of the crashed car, maybe due to weather conditions they can’t recover it straight away and have reopened the road.

If that’s the case then this is nowhere near as serious as has been suggested. There is absolutely no way on earth the police will leave a road open with a collision vehicle in full view of the press and public in such a way if a collision involves fatalities, or likely fatalities. Certainly not in my experience.
