Sunderland due to play Stoke at home at 12:30, current forecast is heavy rain and 50-60mph winds, just ridiculous to currently be going ahead when Stoke fans will have left.

Game will be a lottery, but unfair to put needless traffic on the roads for a game of Football.
There was no wind here at 7am. Now it's definitely got feisty. I was toying with going out locally, not for golf, but I've changed my mind now. I'm in for the day unless it drops.

Not safe for fans to be on exposed bits of road, A66 is closed already both ways.

Same here, wind is building throughout the morning!!

It's only 50mph gusts here. We have missed the worse. Taking the kids to the cinema to keep them occupied

Can't believe the Utd game is still on. They'll wait for the Forest fans to traipse up here and then tell them. They'll then quote "safety concerns ".
Well there's nothing "safe" about dragging thousands of supporters halfway up the country in these conditions just because someone hasn't got the cojones to make a decision in the morning.

Yes wouldn’t fancy the coast today.

Just been the chemist for the wife’s prescription you can hear the trees creaking.
Crossed the road to get away from them.

That's what keeps me indoors on days like this. Wrong place, wrong time and it's curtains. Last storm a driver died after being hit by a tree plus when I was 18 my friend's boyfriend was hit and paralysed from the chest down. Aint worth it.

Where we walk the dogs, literally two minutes walk from our door, there are very old, rotten trees either side. One had come down across the track yesterday - huge piece that would have probably killed someone if they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We've all stayed home today.

Not an excuse but we are having a rough time at the moment with injuries...

Manchester City are without Nathan Ake, who was forced off against Nottingham Forest, while Manuel Akanji is doubtful after being withdrawn at half-time.

Phil Foden is again absent because of illness, while John Stones, Rodri, Oscar Bobb and Mateo Kovacic are also still unavailable.

This year has been horrendous for City re injuries. There’s no doubt that City have missed KDB, but the absence of Rodri has been immense. Gutted that Oscar Bobb was ruled out for the season as I was hoping for a breakthrough season from him. I am hoping that City, Chelsea and Arsenal can make it an interesting title challenge on Liverpool. The only thing I can see stopping Liverpool is injuries to a couple of important players.
