One for City fans, Savinho, what does he give you? Doesn't get goals, doesn't really seem to add anything.

Does he just need time?

Lightweight - needs more time I think.

I'm just confused by the benching of Doku and Grealish who were outstanding midweek. Possibly with Wednesday's match in mind and Pep thinking the league is pretty much gone for this season...we need some momentum though.

A lot of the City fans love him because he is a winger of old can go past players etc. me I think he is far from the finished product. You have hit the nail firmly on the head. If Doku and Grealish, Foden etc had been fit all season without the injuries. Savinho would not of had the game time he has had.
But Doku, he is a beast.

Crazy decision. Can the second yellow be rescinded after the match? Silly boy for getting the first one - you run the risk after that of a stupid decision.
Think you can appeal the ban for red but not yellow.

We only have two colour cards .
You can appeal a red but not a yellow

Who made up this stupid rule.
If VAR think it’s a mistake they should be able to tell the ref he’s wrong.

To stop frivolous appeals just double the ban if you lose .

If it did get overturned it still affected the result.
Cost Palace three points it did 😁

I went along to the Palace game yesterday as an innocent bystander and had just remarked to the guy I was with that the ref had enjoyed an excellent game in difficult conditions... at the time (and not that far away) it didn't look like a particularly bad decision.
Have to say, Selhurst Park is an ugly little ground, but it is a pretty fun place to watch football. Close to the action and a lively home support. I bumped into a surprising number of Swedish supporters throughout the day.
2-2 seemed a fairish reflection of the game. The player that impressed me most was Hughes in the Palace midfield.

Dan Ashworth leaving United already 😳

Spend all that money and time getting him from Newcastle 🤦‍♂️

Jim Ratcliffe may have been successful as a business man but not been a great start in football

Give him a chance. At least he has a vision of where he wants to take the club. Unlike the Glayzers who just bled it dry.

Amorim has already got Utd playing a better “style” of football. Quite simply the players are not yet fit (or good enough?). Ratcliffe and Amorim have a big job to do but it’s not going to happen overnight.

It might be blind faith but I’m holding onto it !!!

Lap it up, Phil, lap it up.

If it wasn’t working, it wasn’t working. If Ashworth was in any way responsible for the debacle surrounding ten Hag between the FA Cup final and the manager’s eventual sacking, then it’s not a great sign.

That said, United do lurch from catastrophe to catastrophe.

And for those of us who were constantly ridiculed at school 25 years ago for choosing a local team, instead of becoming a glory supporting whopper, we make no apologies for enjoying absolutely every second of it. :)

No glory supporting whopperism here, I assure you. Whilst I enjoyed the fabulous years under Ferguson, I’ve endured the tripe either side of his tenure since I first took an interest in football in the early 70’s.

I do get your point though.

EDIT: Forest were excellent yesterday, by the way. A mate of mine had an 8 fold accumulator running, the first 7 results going his way. Before the United game he told me he stood to win about £500, or he could cash out before kick off for about £300. I told him, in all seriousness, to cash out. Muppet should have listened to me!

Show some compassion,It's amazing how many Dads,Grandads and uncles who fled Manchester from the great depression to places like Sheffield, Nottingham and London. At least they never forgot their roots.

Oh I get there are actual United fans from pre-fergie, but my school years (and beyond) were unbearable with the insufferable United fans who have absolutely no ties with Manchester and who’s support coincides with their success. So for me, it’s very personal.

Plus my in laws are United fans, as are half of my team at work. Needless to say, yesterday was a good day 😆

I thought we played well and stifled the United onslaughts for the most part, when they came.

Annoyingly, I think they’ll be fine under Amorin, and you’ll be a different prospect for the return fixture.

To be fair, this is a major cock up. Ashworth was targeted, tapped up, waited for, compensation paid. If it's gone pear shaped at this early stage then there's been a pretty big failure of recruitment.

Reports are that the pay off of Ashworth, ETH and Sporting comes to £25m 😳

Spot on.

I'd be worried if i supported Manchester United. He was being praised for a smooth transfer window 4 months ago and now he's out on his arse. Strange timing.

Ashworth has proved himself twice, at Brighton and Newcastle. If he hasn't fitted in at Utd it would be interesting to know why and how this wasn't picked up earlier, before he actually started.
