Oh I get there are actual United fans from pre-fergie, but my school years (and beyond) were unbearable with the insufferable United fans who have absolutely no ties with Manchester and who’s support coincides with their success. So for me, it’s very personal.

Plus my in laws are United fans, as are half of my team at work. Needless to say, yesterday was a good day 😆

I thought we played well and stifled the United onslaughts for the most part, when they came.

Annoyingly, I think they’ll be fine under Amorin, and you’ll be a different prospect for the return fixture.

Totally get your point. Whilst I’m largely not bothered by City and all their success in recent years, I feel the same way to a large extent towards all their “fans” who crawled out of the woodwork there. It wasn’t that many years ago they couldn’t fill Maine Road.

With regards to Ashworth, I’m really curious to know what’s happened there. Whilst the initial suggestion is that it simply wasn’t working, there has to be more to it. The fact that he has departed so soon after Amorim’s arrival, to me, is the biggest clue. I suspect there is some issue between the two of them.

Whatever the cause, it’s a mess. And an embarrassing one at that.

That for me is everything that’s wrong with VAR .
Lewis second yellow is a clear and obvious error by the ref but VAR can’t get involved.

Who makes up these stupid rules that needs changing.
Not sure I want to see VAR getting involved in bookings.

I do think yellow cards should be reviewed and potentially rescinded as a matter of course.

Ashworth was apparently the one who decided to give ETH a new deal, he was behind some really average signings in the summer and most importantly - he wanted Southgate as ETH's replacement.

Throw those things together and you can see why he's been pushed out the door. It might well look like a circus at the moment but if something isn't working, acting quick is the best solution. It's far worse sticking with it and hoping for the best, which is what Utd have been guilty of in the past.

That's a shocking result for Arsenal. With Liverpool not playing and City dropping points, they had to go to Fulham today and win. The lack of firepower will cost them unless they pull something out of the bag in January.

Yes atm Jota looks better.
Why isn’t Pep using Grealish more.?

That really puzzled me yesterday. Against Forest Doku on the left and Grealish more central really worked. I liked Jack in there...

As I said earlier I can only think it's with the Juve match in mind.

A few things:

Great result for Villa yesterday in tough conditions. Trip home from Villa was the worst we have ever had. Stupidly caught the train because we planned to go out in Worcester for Xmas drinks when we got home - terrible decision!!! Trains cancelled everywhere - giant farce of organisation!

Today is also going very well for us…

The league this year is pure mental, so many teams have made themselves competitive and it’s fantastic to see “the big 6” stumble against “lesser” sides this year! More of this please, I love seeing different sides there in the table! (Just don’t overtake Villa)

Big game about to kick off, looking forward to this one!

Up the VILLLAAAAAA

And for those of us who were constantly ridiculed at school 25 years ago for choosing a local team, instead of becoming a glory supporting whopper, we make no apologies for enjoying absolutely every second of it. :)

This x100, couldn't move for Utd shirts once upon time, don't see many now.

Twas ever thus. Fairly meaningless to support a team you have absolutely nothing to do with. It's hilarious to near blokes at the golf club who have never crossed the Severn Bridge, rabbiting on about Liverpool or Utd.

I guess it's their business, but it's still funny.
