His strength and hold up play is excellent as well. You watch him control a ball pinged up to him, centre back all over his back, and he managed to get control of it more often than not, and keep move going.I said it here more than once last season, Hojlund survives off scraps. And you’re spot on. His conversion rate is right up there.
Of course, there are plenty out there, and some post here, who will take a pop at him because he pulls on a United shirt. But I think it’s 20 goals now in 57 United appearances. He doesn’t miss many glaringly easy chances.
I feel for the lad. He’s the only striker at the club, and that’s an enormous weight on the shoulders of someone his age. Those who criticise him do so based on what they see on MOTD or read in the papers. Not from watching him for 90 minutes.
Yes, should be bread and butter for most No. 9's. But it is the sort of attribute you will see not one iota of if Rashford is playing No.9. I suppose Zirkzee can do it, but I'm worried that his shot conversion over time would be around 0.2%. Is he a Weghorst?
