Do you think Kane has the capability to drop into midfield on a permanent basis? He clearly passes the ball beautifully but he does he have the rest of the game to hold that type of roll? He can't be far off thinking about that decision, he was never quick but he is visibly getting slower.

The last thing we need is another number 10 tho

I'd much rather a fluid front line without Kane now days. Been saying for a while I think without him as a team we could be better

Yes there is no doubting his class but sometimes the best team isn't the best 11

Sometimes you have to remember that the team looking better isn't the same as actually being better (i.e. results). It's give and take. Another forward may make us look more fluid in attack, but then miss a chance that Kane would score.

The current Spurs looks really good, lovely and fluid on occasions, but also they lose about 50% of their games. 😄

Was talking to my mates at golf about this yesterday, but the real issue is who replaces Kane after he's gone, not who plays now. We went from Shearer, to Owen, to Rooney, to Kane - we always seem to have had a world class striker, but I think that run is coming to an end now. I'm not seeing another potential world class striker lined up to take his place. Kane is 31, Watkins is 29 in a few weeks, so he's not a long-term successor, nor is he at the same level anyway. Even Solanke is 27 which is older than I thought, and I don't see him reaching Kane's level.

Maybe there's a case for playing Palmer up front to each the selection issue of how many number 10s we have? Otherwise we are seemingly destined for a generation of good attacking midfielders behind an average striker.
And within that timeline of having those key strikers, Emile Heskey still managed to earn himself 62 caps

Exactly, need someone from midfield to step up and support Kane, Lampard scored over 25 goals from midfield.
We’ve had Sterling as well making over 80+ appearances playing up front.

Need to stop the Spurs propaganda.. they are excellent occasionally but generally a disappointment for the names they have in their teams.
Kane needs to play behind a striker if he plays at all.
There are young strikers we just have to have confidence in them and bring them in .. you need 3 players for every position due to injury and exhaustion.
I really liked the attitude of bringing more players to the attention and what they can do .. getting hung up on your clubs successful players is not the way forward.

Ruud Gullit did.

Gradually dropped back from a striking position over his career to midfield and finally ended at he base of midfield in an almost Pirlo like role, where he was the focal point for distribution of the ball forward.

Remember him bringing himself on when he was Newcastle manager in a pre-season friendly at Reading, we were being battered and he just sat himself between the back four and the midfield and just started pinging the ball around and dictating play. We came from 2-0 down to draw the game. This would have been summer of 1999 so Gullit would have been approaching 37...was clearly a class above everyone else on the park....but that was club football...different to the international scene...but the scope is there for Kane to "re-invent" himself if he wishes.
Jan Molby did very similar for Liverpool.
Dictated the play from the middle while others did the running
Kanes got the vision and skill to do as you say.
As long as we play with a central striker.
Might be worth a go but Foden and others play there as well would he get ahead of them?

Nice problem for Tuchel to have.

Just seen a clip from the WSL match between Man Utd and Leicester yesterday. Man Utd had a free kick outside the box and , whilst the Leicester keeper was trying to sort her wall out, 2 players stood immediately in front of her with arms raised to try and put her off. The referee did step in and get them to move but what were they thinking? No way were they going to get away with it
Strange but have they broken any rules.?

They would be offside as soon as the balls kicked .
But if they moved before the kicks taken and we’re not in the keepers eyeline are they interfering ?
Imo it’s no different than standing in front of the keeper at a corner.

Have you seen it? Quite obviously unsporting conduct and nothing like standing in front of the keeper on a corner

If the ref had seen all of their antics then they could quite easily have carded them for it. It was beyond the usual standing in front of a keeper at a corner. Carding them kills that daftness straight away.

As @Neilds says, comes under the category of unsporting conductive. I'd like 'being a plank' to be put in the rules, they would be guilty of that as well.

Tottenham Hotspur announce brand new club badge!

I’m not a Spurs fan, but all I can say is WOW! I love it! 😍😍😍

Hopefully whoever came up with the concept of this design overhaul is given a huge pay packet.

Not sure why an announcement was needed. That 'new' badge (minus the words) has already been used on the shirts since 2006 anyway.
