Mate text our WhatsApp to ask someone to stick £30 on Aberdeen before kick off. They were 5/2, he said it was too good a bet to turn down.

They were great value at 3.90 given how good they've been and how patchy Rangers are. It was a really old school intense game - proper football as Souness would call it :sneaky::ROFLMAO:

Newcastle at 2.20 and Spurs at 2.40 were also silly prices given the line ups. I won a load on that treble but cashed out at 1-0 in the Aberdeen game.

Utd to win HT/FT at 1.7 was also a silly price with such a strong line up. Celtic -1 at HT and Atalanta another nice double.

Not a particular fan of Simon Jordan but he’s got it absolutely spot on here. He’s talking about Newcastle, but you can apply the principles to literally any club apart from six of them.

He makes some valid points but rules change all of the time in sport. Comparing the Saudi Ownership to Jack Walker isnt a true comparison. Where Newcastle have failed is sticking with Eddie Howe and overspending on some of the signings. I dont think Howe will ever be able to consistently compete at the highest level.

Don’t know who it was on here but they compared the English managers in the prem to German managers in Bundesliga, Spanish managers in La Liga etc. the % is shocking. I honestly think that Newcastle could and should have gone for someone like Amorim etc. nothing against EH. He is good but not brilliant.

Once through the carnage otherwise known as roadworks on Chester Road last night, with the last two miles taking an hour, a really enjoyable game of football.

Some solid performances, good goals, but the thing which really stood out for me was that the players appeared to have had a massive weight lifted from them, and actually enjoyed themselves. And as a result there was nowhere near the anxiety in the stands that there has been for such a long time.

Shame that I missed all the ā€œfunā€ on the WHS thread, but that’s a small price to pay. A great few hours with the kids at a good game of football.

And that at the end of the day is what matters
