Sanchez been very poor in this game so far
Looks like you have to hold that praise. PGMOL have just said the onfield decision actually disallowed the goal. And VAR asked him to review as they believed it to be a goal.Nice to see an on field referee stand by the original, and correct, decision. Sorry, I’m no City fan, but if that had been ruled out it would have been farcical.
Who decided we needed to hear more from referees on tv? Mike Dean here and on Soccer Saturday, Howard Webb on The Overlap. Just do the job properly, we shouldn't even know who you are.
Strange tactics from us we seemed to sit back and let them have the ball.
Then counter attack.
Scared of their pace maybe.
Thought Chelsea were the better team first half .
But a wins a win and we might not have won that last season.
On the ref he dosnt seem to know what shoulder to shoulder is !

Blimey a right back getting slaughtered for his defensive work and it’s not TAA
Watching it again that second penalty imo should have stood - that’s a foul anywhere else on the pitch
Sturridge is a strange pundit , sometimes he says some very good stuff but then comes up with “Jackson one of the best goalscorers in the league”
Chelsea’s GK is very poor
I was surprised they took off Madueke as he was giving Robbo lots of issues
Have heard that they found Palmer in Jones pocket though
And Slot saying he deserved the yellow a manager being honest , whatever next
I only saw it once, but did the goalie not just come out to narrow the angle and make a save, and he made the save? Any contact after that was surely just a coming together of 2 players running toward each other and was unavoidable? The difference is it's the keeper, keepers don't just tackle they are more inclined to block balls with their body as they can use hands etc so keepers are judged a lot differently when it comes to fouls as they put themselves in different positions to that of defenders

The keeper has done exactly what he has to do. Come out and close the angle. So when a gk wipes out and attacker it’s just a “coming together”
Gk got a slight touch the ball went through his legs and then he took out Jones
It’s not a “clear and obvious error” giving the penalty
The keeper has done exactly what he has to do. Come out and close the angle.
What else should he do, stay on his line.
If you give a penalty for that, then all strikers need to be told is that if they are ever clean through on goal, run as fast as they can towards keeper, shoot just before keeper gets to them. If they score, great. If not, they'll just run into keeper and get a penalty
I've already told you my opinion, I'm not changing my view.the gk has taken the player out
Do you seriously think that a gk is ok to take a player out just because they are trying to close the angle
Any striker that’s taken out by the GK will be getting a penalty
They haven’t just “run into each other”
It’s not a clear and obvious error - it’s a subjective call
It’s one that if it’s not given because of the touch then they won’t overturn it but once given it’s not a clear and obvious error
Yes but he tackled like a pub centre half. The difference is it's the keeper, keepers don't just tackle they are more inclined to block balls with their body as they can use hands etc so keepers are judged a lot differently when it comes to fouls as they put themselves in different positions to that of defenders
Why dosnt that go for outfield players then?I only saw it once, but did the goalie not just come out to narrow the angle and make a save, and he made the save? Any contact after that was surely just a coming together of 2 players running toward each other and was unavoidable?
