Nice to see an on field referee stand by the original, and correct, decision. Sorry, I’m no City fan, but if that had been ruled out it would have been farcical.
Absolute joke, he's offside in the middle of goal 3ft from the goalkeeper, should have been ruled off all day long, Silva pushed the GK who had to push him away and reset. Mockerey of a decision

its leaving it up to ref to decide if silva is interfering with play. we have seen it before I think it was wolves on the end of it again.. they scored a last min equalizer against us last year im sure it was them and it was disallowed as the ref deemed the player was interfering

good decision from the ref. no way was he in the keepers way
Of course he was, he barged the goalkeeper out the way who then had to reset while stones scored, he's off side as he interacted with the goalkeeper. It's not 2 seperate incidents, it's 1 long one.

No chance for me.

When he impacted keeper, he wasn't offside. And it wasn't a foul.

Only was in an offside position once header made. At that point, he'd ducked way out of the way of keeper, thus not interfering with play

Anyone here who had that goal scored against them would want it ruled off including City. Ther fatc it wasn't does not make it correct and no one would have had an issue if it had been ruled off at all.

he isnt offside when he barged the keeper because stones hadnt touch the ball so he was behind play from the corner.

thats why its two phases imo

To be honest the more I see it the more I think Wolves can feel hard done by! The keeper shoves the offside striker out of his way then has to reset himself as the cross is coming in. Who’s to say if he hadn’t done that he might have reacted better? 🤷‍♂️
Dunno, difficult one.

Looks the same as the one we had disallowed against West Ham last season.
I guess that's what you get when you're the only club who wanted rid of it.

I thought it was you guys who had one disallowed against us. least my memory still works

I didnt think silva interferred because when stones actually touched the ball he was out of the keepers eye line and falling

For me the keeper was able to reset and wasn't obstructed but I thought it would be chalked off. I actually think he does his reset "split step" at the wrong time and was airborn when he needed to be pushing up.

Anyhow, the positives, we can win when Haaland is having a shocker. The reaction to the goal - this bunch of players still have the desire.

Agree the park the bus and consequential tippy tappy is less than entertaining. Also don't get why we push Stones and Diaz so far up the pitch, leaving us open to a fast counter. They just add more feet to the tippy tappyness. I'm no tactician though and in Pep we trust.

A win's a win :)

Was surprised to hear both Richards and Sturridge say he has effected the play and impeded the GK

The issue is the lack of consistency- we have seen those same incidents happen and the goal be disallowed

when the cross is coming in silva isnt offside though is he ? he only becomes offside when stones heads it so when the keeper shoves him hes onside

Literally at the same stadium and the same club getting done by it. I don't want to go all Matt LeTissier...

Good point. Still a tricky one though, can see if from both sides.

id say personally as even in this thread its split, people with no interest in the result saying it should stand. even phil says it should stand and his team would benefit from it going.. others saying should go means its not really clear cut either way

so in that case benefit of the doubt is with the attacking team and the on field decision has stood

watching it again i think the interaction with Silva has very minimal effect on Sa who appeared to be set when they cross came in - but if it was disallowed you could see why

The interesting thing was the flag went up I believe so the linesman thought he was interfering
