This stat is complete waffle, of course he got the best ratio against exclusively Bundesliga opposition playing for Bayern Vs international football or playing for Spurs.

To be fair international football is easier than Germany... When he scores against Liechtenstein etc

If he gets his tactics right we might see better football

Seems to be a lot of teeth gnashing after the appointment but who else was there? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c78dgy9qngno
I would have taken Potter personally. Ok he's not won anything, but I believe his career was on an upward trajectory before Chelsea cocked it up for him, and his style of football was well-suited to the players we have available. If they were going to go foreign, they should have nicked Poch before he went to the yanks.

Guess time and results will tell. If he gets off to a bad start the media will have a field day

If memory serves, Tuchel played a back 3 with wing backs at Chelsea did he not? Is that pretty standard for him and what we can expect to see with England? If so then may see the best out of Trent in the RWB role. But one of Palmer/Foden/Saka is almost certainly going to be squeezed out still. No idea who the left wing back would be either.

Pickers
Konsa - Stones - Guehi
Trent - Rice - Jude - Shaw?
Saka - Kane - Palmer
In the Euros when we briefly tried this sort of system it seems to work fairly well, and I recall Saka actually played right wing back and did well there. So perhaps inverted wing backs again with Trent on the left? Bit unorthodox though.

Remove Kane, add in Watkins and we win the WC..

Foden should drop

Err England Finland in September he scored 2 goals? October last year against Italy he scored 2 goals? You show me the game when England played well and he probably scored in it.

Finland in a Friendly, great effort there... We beat them in a competitive game at the weekend and he did nout.

England as a team play better when he's not on the pitch now. He drops too deep to pick up the ball and isn't making runs in behind.

When you play with 2 or 3 10's the last thing you need is your 9 dropping back in to add a 4th 10. Clutters up the field and causes us to play terrible football.

Time to move on from the anti-trophy boy.

The best striker England have ever had. He drops deep if the system isn't working. He played in a Tuchel system last season and scored more than a goal a game. It's not even a decision.

Fact of the matter is - it is a decision.

You're blinded by goal output of one man, 22 of those 68 are penalties, playing a striker with more legs could lead to a better spread of goals across the whole team - not just one man.

Gutted about the Tuchel news. A horrible, creepy man who makes my skin crawl. Very overrated for a manager who's won only one notable trophy with a team he inherited. Very disappointing.

Not bad when that’s the CL

And is that not perfect for England - getting more out of a squad that’s already there
