What a player eh? Paquata will leave this summer then he will follow next summer no doubt

Great player to watch, will go to a top top club

I'm not sure about that second goal, the ref allowed play on, wasn't a head injury 🤕
The play had stopped though. It was a free kick to you guys. Natural break in play, physio comes on. Had it not been a free kick I'd agree with you but that wasn't the case.

Down to the ref tho, he allows restart and didn't allow the physio on

But then he had a bad game the ref

It's a shame after a 7 goal thriller it's the ref that gets the press due to 2 bad calls

Yes but how many times has a player gone down holding his head and then refused treatment because he then has to leave the field.
Happens every game.

If you think that’s bad what about the penalty given against Burnley and no pen for Everton.
Bad enough the ref getting it wrong but VAR once again just backing up their mates so they don’t look bad.
Burnley one was a shocker imo.

What I don't get is Newcastle wasn't a case of var backing up his mate because the ref hadn't given the Phillips pen

Ridiculous really

But hey ho

Great game and some cracking goals

Who gave the pen then,?

After looking at the monitor the ref gave it just backing up VAR.
Goes both ways.
It’s really quite poor.

They claim it's the ref but if they go to the monitor 9/10 it's a pen so in reality var has given that

Refs should have the stones to go I've had a look that still isn't a pen

The Gordon penalty was the right decision. He got his leg in front of Philips, and Philips kicked him. How is it not a penalty? All the talk of he’s not in control of the ball is rubbish. He doesn’t have to be in control of it. There’s instances/fouls in pretty much every game where players are not in control of the ball.

Players draw fouls in almost every game by getting between a player and the ball with no intention of playing the ball. They get a kick from behind, like Philips did, and a foul is awarded. It’s a soft foul but it’s still a foul. And Gordon getting his foot in as Philips was in the process of pulling the trigger is just unfortunate timing for West Ham.

If it was the other way round West Ham fans and players would expect a penalty because their player was kicked.

He was already kicking the ball away when Gordon's leg appeared

Gordon fouled him

Gordon makes an attempt to get the ball (a tackle if you will) he gets none of the ball and makes contact with the defender so it’s a clear foul… mind boggling that some people can’t see it.

Disagree.
If Gordon’s trying to play the ball you’re correct.
But he wasn’t going for the ball he was just stopping Phillips clearing it. Imo.

Funny how people see the same foul so differently!
