Well, it’s clear it’s gonna be very hard for any smaller clubs to get a positive word or two from the pundits against The Big Six.

It’s obviously not enough to simply beat what’s put in front of you. Because apparently the MAJORITY of ALL football fans want to hear and talk about the Big Six. 🤷‍♂️

Seriously fellas, the arrogance is breathtaking. But it’s nothing new, it’s just confirmation of what’s already apparent. I’ll leave it there. 👍

But you have to take into account that a huge majority of "fans" have no connection with the Club that they support. Most have chosen to support the team who won something the year they got to watch football for the first time on tv. You can usually tell the age of a football fan by who they support so, the last few years they'll be Man City even if they live in Bristol 🤓, but will have the shirt!

You do get a couple of exceptions to the rule tho

Colleague of mine is a man united fan, born west London. Season ticket holder. Supports man united because his dad did etc

If his dad had supported Fulham would he have supported them back in the day.?

I'd have to ask him. The apprentice is the same but with city. To be fair to him again season ticket holder and went the champ league final so not just a "arm chair" like some moan about

I’m sorry, but that’s rubbish.

If one of the so-called smaller teams comes out and plays a so-called bigger team off the park, they get praise heaped upon them, and rightly so. It happens regularly.

Equally, if one of those smaller teams wins and it is due largely to the catastrophic failings of the opposition, then it is only right that the pundits say so. That’s what they’re there for - to apply their expertise and analyse why a game has turned out the way it has.

And I’m not sure I’ve seen any arrogance from any Manchester United follower on these pages in recent times. Plenty of down to earth realism, but precious little arrogance, if any.

Having moved to Kent when I was 16, I still travelled to Palace when I could, and occasionally had season tickets. I first took my son when he was 5 years old and now 40 he takes his 11 year old boy.
My first time at Selhurst Park was 1965 I went to school a few minutes walk from the ground and have seen them many times in almost every league they've played in

I gave up my season ticket for west ham when I was playing golf more and getting the weekends off for fixtures became difficult

Now with family I wouldn't get it back, I had an offer to go with my mate as he got one and asked if I wanted one again. Ironically now he's giving it up 2 years later as he's found it hard to go . Then again never get why he is a hammer he is Scottish and now lives in Southampton 🤣

I'd like to go more than I do, and I can get a comparatively cheap season ticket as an "old git" , but getting to Selhurst is difficult by public transport. I always drive there but parking near the ground has got increasingly difficult with local residents turning their front gardens into parking, there are just so many drop kerbs it's a long walk to and from the ground

I am 52 and Support Everton,. I chose them as a kid when I was living in Cyprus, my dad was a Royal Marine based there (He is a Geordie) and had only heard football on the radio, Everton random choice. My kids are 17 and 13 and have always supported Wolves. My eldest chose them when they were in the premier league with Mcarthy and they got a double relegation, he stuck with them and his younger brother chose the same. I think this is somewhat unusal. However I live in Bournemouth and barely anyone supported them but since their first foray in to the premier league the youth support has grown massively and continues to do so, most of both my boys mates support Bournemouth but there are plenty of top 6 supports as well.

I started my football supporting life as a Stoke City fan, and very quickly my favourite player was Jimmy Greenhoff. When he moved to United I started following them, and have done ever since. So very nearly fifty years, most of which has been as a club member and match goer.

The mighty Middlesbrough. A season ticket holder for many years, seen them up and down 3 divisions both home and away. But I love football in general, and will even watch a kickabout in a park.

If they could be reasonably successful in the Prem, I’d love to see them there. If would have to be in the top 10. To be honest, I’d rather see them competitive, chasing promotion and play-off spots in the Championship than fighting relegation in the Prem - seen it too many times, and it’s not fun.

MOTD is a programme about that weekend’s PL football. Why should they spend any time talking about the world club championship?

It is a Big Six thing mate and you’re deluding yourself if you think otherwise. Happens every single time on Forest games and to other “smaller” teams. Big Six bias is alive and well in all its forms across all forms of media.
If it is only prem league then why even mention City. If it is the big six who are the six. If it is six then the prem league is improving coz at one time it was the big four.
The big four was Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. Who are the other two. City, Newcastle, Villa and spurs. That’s eight.

Ironically the last season ticket I had was when we were relegated last , went to the play off final and gave it all up for good when we got back to the premier league 🙂

Went ad hoc games after that but haven't been since COVID hit

I'll go again one day. I did have tickets for the Europa quarters one year but my mate couldn't make it so we sold our tickets

I don’t get it. My club was “liddle Citeh”. We were rammel and we knew it. Apparently we had to get 115 charges to help us get to the top table. Am sure in the future the micky taking will continue. Would I be upset that we didn’t get the positive coverage we deserved for beating a team that has now lost 9 put of 20 league games. Bottom
Line. No. Utd are pure and simple rammel. It was Utd you beat not City. Talking of City and Forest. Remember last season when you beat us 1-1. You got all the plaudits then and rightly so. It was actually a game that led to Forest believing they could survive in the prem and City went on a winning streak to help create history. The fact it is the first time Forest have beat Utd for nearly 30 years says how bad Utd are.
From Forests point of view they need to use this as a building block to secure prem Football.

Absolutely nothing to do with arrogance. Do you think Man Utd and their fans are arrogantly loving all the criticism the world are laying upon them right now??? I'm sure they'd love many of their inadequacies remaining uncovered by pundits spending most of their time telling the world how amazing Forest were (even though they would be a lie).

If the pundits spend nearly all their time focusing on Man Utd weaknesses, why do you genuinely think that is? There is a reason after all. Are Lineker, Keown, etc arrogant in just wanting to talk Utd.

On the Flip side, when Forest have a shocking game, the attention on their performance will not be as high as when Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea give a shocking performance. It seems like half the pundits have been trying to get ten Hag sacked all season. Ironically Cooper has gone, despite a reasonably warm reception from pundits and the Forest fans.

I find it bizarre that the officials give an automatic yellow card to anybody waving an imaginary yellow card, but if players plead for a booking / red card, they don't get booked themselves.

Moral of the story, if you want an opponent booked, ask the referee rather than gesture it with your hand.

Well played Fulham, not looking Rosey at arsenal ATM , poor fun of form
