I think the squad they have suggests otherwise. Sourcing of the money is a different story, hence the point of your post, but once they have had it, not much wasted. Compare with their near neighbours......
And that’s the key. A goal a game until this point of the season tells you everything you need to know. In over forty years as a match going supporter I have never seen such an alarming lack of creativity.
Hojlund is struggling, but the best strikers in the world would struggle to score in that side. He is living off scraps at best.

What happened last time Moyes left and they tried to be entertaining?
I was in the car this afternoon with the radio on. Prior to this game Anthony had passed to Hojlund once in 5 hours. I think Garnacho had passed twice to him in the same time. If they are the wide men supposed to feed him, what chance......
The problem with both is that they are effectively inverted wingers - both prefer to cut inside rather than beat their defender and put a quality cross in. In Antony’s case, he has no option as he is so unbelievably one footed. Shocking for a player at this level, and someone who must be an absolute dream to defend against.
What staggers me is that, under Solskjaer, United scouted Antony and the consensus was he was worth in the region of £25m. The fact that we paid over three times that is a shocking indictment of recruitment at the club.

"Bilic got us" for one season then everyone figured him out..Moyes saved us
MP the board creamed themselves that he was available.. he crashed and burned. Moyes saved us and then got us a solid side and won a trophy
