Half-watched the Spurs Palace game last night. They didn't really cause too many problems. I have to say, Van de Ven must be one of the quickest players in the league, let alone quickest defenders. He is absolute lightning. Whenever Palace thought they were in for the counter, he just goes flying past them and takes the ball! You can see why Dier's not going to get a game in this system - comparatively speaking he'd look like he was walking.

I know nobody understands the handball rule anymore, but surely the Palace goal shouldn't have stood? Within three replays I could see it hit his chest and then his left hand - I thought the rule was if the scorer uses their hand or arm at all it's disallowed? VAR took another 20 replays and about 3 more minutes, and they couldn't see the touch off his hand apparently, because they allowed the goal. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Possibly, but it was funny watching my BIL face who had a Spurs defender and the keeper in his fantasy team.

Well, even both commentators couldn't 100% work out if it hit his hand, so not exactly clear enough to overrule the goal

5 minutes for VAR to decide if the offside decision is correct in the Bournemouth v Burnley game seems a bit excessive.

Another shambles of a decision from VAR not to overturn the Newcastle penalty, They've had a mare this weekend.

Was it not VAR working as it should? On field decision was a penalty. Replays were inconclusive so the decision stood.

Had it not been given then I doubt that would have been overturned either.
