Insider knowledge of what? It's a football match, nobody knows who's going to win.
Have you seen what you can bet on now? Every aspect of a game, number of corners, shots on target, who has a shot on target, throw ins, yellow cards...............It's near endless and frequently not to do with who actually wins.

Fair enough. Have you heard that Matt Le Tissier story? He said that he once put a lot of money down on the first throw-in in the game happening in the first minute or something like that. Made sure his team got kick off then tried to immediately launch it out of play - but he said it was windy and he whiffed the kick slightly so it didn't make it, he then ran more than he'd ever done in his life to try and get over there and kick it out. 😆

Funny story but shows you it's nothing new. Bit hypocritical when every club has gambling sponsorship coming out of their backsides as well.

Is it hypocritical?

I don't think football clubs are claiming that gambling is evil and an appalling habit, and hence why they would ban footballers if they gamble. They'll be happy to take the money as they'll consider it a perfectly legit business, and I'm sure quite a few of us in here agree as some of us must put down a little wager now and then.

The reason they get banned is because if it was allowed, then you will get the exact story you just told us about Le Tissier. Imagine that. As fans, we'd probably never trust a player again, especially when they do something that seems absolutely ridiculous. It does surprise me when professional players do, and what they are risking, especially the players who are highly paid.

Re you last sentence Tash, yes it's down to Southgate but isn't it also down to how little he trusts England's defensive unit? Someone could help me here, are there any other top football nations who consistently play 2 holding midfielders like England do?
I think to turn the two holding midfielders on its head. Pep pushes Stones into midfield and plays with 3 at the back. Again because they are flexible/ intelligent enough to do it.

Foden regularly plays on the left for City. Here's a breakdown of his positions last season. He played left wing more than any other. I don't get this mentality that people don't want to play Foden 'out of position' when he frequently plays left, right or centre for City. Pep has done us a favour by keeping him versatile - just get him in the team. As I said in my preferred line-up a few pages ago, I'd have Foden left and Saka right. Different types of players to give us different options. Space for Bellingham or Maddison to play the number 10.
He can play anywhere I agree.
I just think he’s the best #10

Deserved nothing tonight. Didn't get going until we scored right at the end

It is frustrating tho when the flow gets disrupted.. even more so when it's by the ref .... Blowing up just to book players when has he heard of advantage? And book the player afterwards.....

Solid 4-1 win last night away against AZ Alkmaar for the villa!

Luton at home on Sunday

Loving the thick and fast football this season!
It can get a bit too much though. At least when we played CL football there was a chance of a Tuesday/Sunday and Wednesday/Sunday games.

I was dreading the Europa then I realised how good Thursday nights are in town afterwards :)

Good win last night, still not sure how Nunez missed that open goal🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I assumed he was being unselfish, got the assist

Yes brilliant skill then think he thought he couldn’t miss .

Is Gravenbech as impressive live as on the TV he looks a player?

Should Garnacho face a ban for his social media post where he used a gorilla emoji to support Onana?

Depends on whether you believe there should be a complaint by the party concerned. Onana responded:

"People cannot choose what I should be offended by. I know exactly what [Garnacho] meant: power and strength," Onana wrote on Instagram.

"This matter should go no further."

I suppose not, if you choose to understand the context of what was meant by it.

However, if one wants to choose their own context and if others are offended by it despite not applying to them, then ban him for life

I've only seen him live but he is very good from what i've seen, he's better than Igor Biscan but not quite the level of Lucas Leiva.

He was my MOTM last night.
