Germany isn’t the worst place to live - even more so when it’s a mere hop on a plane these days

Spain sacked him right before the tournament started after it emerged he had agreed to join Real behind their back.

There has been noise circulating that he was at loggerheads with the owners at Wolves over the transfer activity (or lack of).

I was at the Barcelona v Spurs friendly last night. Camp Nou being renovated so they are playing at the Olympic stadium. Lovely setting, the Olympic Park and surrounds were very nice.

Watching football in the heat, different experience .

Sanchez was superb, Skipp showed good instincts and determination for his two goals. Ange clearly isn't on the forum. I've said over and over that Richarlison is useless as a sole front man and he proved that once again last night. Awful game for him.

Anyone playing Spurs this year, press, press, press. Obsessed with playing out from the keeper, so vulnerable .

Fun experience, recommended for anyone in future if you are on holiday and a friendly is nearby.

Montjuic is a lovely area of the city but, to me, a very odd locale for Barca, deep in Espanyol territory.

I saw a clip of this on Reddit, but one where it actually worked and we managed to keep the ball by knocking it around our own penalty area. Other fans were raving about it, whereas my view was that we've been trying to do that for 10 years and it usually results in a cock-up and a conceded goal. Alright doing it in a friendly but we might see a bit more of a determined press in the Premier League. Can't wait to see how many goals it costs us.

That was some difference when that young lad came on for Barca, that would have been a good night.

I can only go off last night, he swept up everything, made some great last ditch tackles.

We left with 10-15 minutes to go so didn't see the later goals. We had a train to catch, we aren't staying in Barcelona itself, and didn't want to end up having to get an expensive taxi. The subs certainly upped the pace for Barcelona but their winning goals came after we left

Apparently he had a decent game. Still hoping he won't play obviously - now we've signed this Dutch lad. Last I heard I thought we'd flogged him to Spartak Moscow?? Must have fallen through.

Needs must I guess. Own ground out of action, this one holds 54k. The great shame is the stadium will go back to being a white elephant again once they move out. Such a waste.
