Newcastle need to get something from this run of play , doing well but just that one double chance

I’m amazed both Antony and Fernandes can still walk with the way they react whenever they are touched - surely must be getting a leg amputated soon. It’s embarrassing

We all know, but thanks for the reminder. (y)

the difference for me is - this was a tragedy that affected the fans , fans died going to a football match through no fault of their own. For years mud was thrown with accusations of murdering their own fans etc and even when the truth was known it still doesn’t sink in for some

It’s not banter , it’s not rivalry - the families of some of those who lost their lives still go to the game and to hear opposing fans using people dying as some sort of chant to wind others up is imo abhorrent and needs to be stopped asap -those families spent decades trying to show who was at fault and for some it was the most important part of their lives for those 20 years

It should never be “part and parcel” of football , that’s accepting it , it’s not “part and parcel” of any other sport.

Far too many brush it off and use reasoning like - it’s just words and it’s only a minority and that allows it to continue
Totally agree.
But nobody’s come up with an answer yet.
it’s one of those things that can’t be solved unless the fans stop it themselves.
it’s just very poor.

I dont get it, Southampton were horrendous, you score from a set piece then gradually got deeper and deeper and deeper, more men behind the ball, to cling on to 1-0 when you should have more than enough to put a side like that away at home comfortably rather than give them a chance as you did. At no point do you try and control the ball or the game once you go in front.

Have said all season think you have way too much to go down but today would really worry me if I was a West Ham fan, despite you getting 3 points

At least youre better against the better sides, should work well for your run in ;) remind me what is moyes record against the top 6?
I agree (I'm WHU). Thought we were dreadful and Southampton marginally better. Was a truly awful game though, I can't imagine having to sit through it of you didn't have any supporting interest.

It does get a bit tedious hearing the same old repeated complaints about chanting, diving, cynical fouling etc on this thread. All from fans whose supporters and players would never do such things...

I hear where you're coming from, but, to be fair to Phil, he has called out his players/fans from time to time.
It's just the constant drip, drip about what a diver Bruno is that gets a tad tedious.

Can’t recall anyone stating anything as such 🤷‍♂️

One day you might actually condemn your own fans for theirs actions - but I doubt it

Fair enough. It's his moaning that gets to me - especially his toothy wail :)

Oopsie - squirrel gone to ground...

What I don't do is criticise your fans constantly as I fully understand, like society, there are absolute idiots all around. I don't feel the need to search social media for something to post about it every single time. As I said - idiot fans. Embarrassing. But not unique.

There is no need to search social media for the actions when it’s being reported in main steam media , even your own manager has had to come out and condemn them and apologise for them - can’t keep brushing it off when it’s a happening every single time the clubs play

And if Liverpool fans take part in abhorrent chants and actions that are disgusting and a disgrace then they should be called out and criticised
