Which part of Neville’s summary “ that was a poor tackle by the defender” don’t you get. He and every one else goes into meltdown because Grealish theatrically went down. It was a foul, it was a soft foul and it was one of many fouls on Grealish yesterday. If the defender had made a good tackle we wouldn’t be discussing this now. But he didn’t. Talking of tackles how comes no one talks of the excellent Tackle by Dias earlier in the game

Sorry, i dont let other peoples opinions form mine, over the last 50yrs i've watched enough football to be more than capable of analysing what i see.

It wasn't a tackle neither it was merely a contact of the legs, Grealish moved across the Villa defender felt the contact and threw himself to the deck. His left leg certainly wasnt in a natural position. I dont remember the Villa player making a genuine attempt to win the ball.

I'm not sure what other position his leg would be in, when running forward? Try it. At any point in time, your left leg will be behind you, then in front, then behind, and so on. The contact happened when his leg was behind him, knocking it into his other leg. Hence the foul.

No intent from defender, but foul nonetheless (which I think everyone agrees with anyway). Grealish simply made a good run in behind and across the defender, as any attacking player will be taught. The defender then needs to either back off, or risk fouling the attacker. But, because it is Grealish, so many make a massive issue that he bought the foul. If they mean it by "he got in a dangerous position, and wrong sided defender, fair enough". But, throwing himself to the deck sounds absurd to me. I'd love to see anyone else stay on their feet when the leg that they will next land on, gets kicked behind their standing foot, and suddenly they have no leg to stand on.

Good to see Neil Warnock back in a job, takes over at Huddersfield 😀
Heard him talking on Talksport last week, commenting about all the manager sackings and appointments. Every now and then, he was saying he loves this time of the season, and usually does well in getting teams to fight until the end of season. I did think he was promoting his services, and there would be a chairman out there that would be listening, and thinking "Warnock is speaking well, sounds to have loads of enthusiasm, let's give him a call"

Leeds fans must be pulling their hair out over the new manager search!

Strong links to at least 3 guys over the last week quickly followed by the target to then distance themselves from the job!

Not a good time to be hiring, such a weak pool of managers available and Southampton have now joined the search

They didn't play too badly without a manager, much to my frustration :)

Right, proper football 😄.

Good to see Ellis Simms playing. He has been out on loan, scored goals in lower leagues, but at least knows how to score. No point bringing him back and not playing him. Let's see what he's got.

Remember when I mentioned about UEFA leaking information to the press re FFP And Man City.

As reported in the BBC Re the Paris fiasco
Quote;
The report was released on Monday, about an hour before Liverpool's home game against Merseyside rivals Everton.

It was thought to be set for publication on Tuesday, but details of the investigation's conclusions were reported by a number of media organisations earlier on Monday.

Liverpool said they had not received a copy of the report before seeing the stories in the media.

"It's hugely disappointing that a report of such significance, such importance to football supporters' lives and future safety, should be leaked and published in this way," said the club.

"It's been over eight months of work by the independent panel and it is only right and proper to publish the contents of the report to our supporters appropriately.

"We will await to receive a copy of the report and digest it thoroughly before making any further comment."

Once more the abysmal shenanigans and standards of UEFA are questionable.
