the burner is back

have a word with yourself. Golfwrx are massive compared to this wee forum:rolleyes: and pictures in the public domain are just that, public

So why were the R15 ones from the same source removed? Just asking

To be fair I'm not that fussed either way. Just asked the question. Not sure either the R15 or the new Burner do it for me but it's about how they play when you hit them

that was weird as well, TM themselves were releasing lots of bit parts of the R15 as well as golfwrx and GM forum showing the picture-

only GM took it down quoting a media embargo.

Didnt realise a manufacturer had such power, it does make you question the validity of any equipment reviews if a supplier can snap fingers and a mere fuzzy picture of a golf club is removed:rolleyes:

I doubt TM would be that bothered. If their club is being talked about that's all that really matters - GM just can't be seen to be condoning or encouraging the leak.

To be fair, without new product releases and having the latest kit to test, golf magazines would be struggling for material. Can you really ever recall a set of clubs from the big guns of golf not getting good write ups? Golf magazines need the manufacturers every bit as much as the manufacturers need the magazines, if not more. Even if a golf magazine thought a new driver was rubbish, I doubt they'd say it, they might try to tone down the praise a bit, or say it won't appeal to everyone, but I doubt they'd go any further.

Any chance of a re-launch of the 2007 Burner Driver? A great performing club and in my opinion still the best looking TaylorMade driver to date.

A question I posed to Mark King back in January, he listened! :D

Sadly, Burner by name but they couldn't look any more different to the originals. Unless of course they bring out black versions.

I'm excited to give the burners a go. I recently re-bagged my burner 2.0 5 & 3 wood as they are the best woods I've ever hit. If the new ones are just as good...

...then there's no need to buy new ones cos I've got the old ones

gotta say the black r15 looks gorgeous so slick and knight rider looking. I also love the look of the burner looks awesome.

Nice preparation work there for any possible TM opportunities ;)

To be honest I think the burner looks awful from below as there's too many colours, but as pointed out you don't look at the bottom of a club. The R15 is basically a SLDR with another slide in it which allegedly makes it a bit more forgiving if you move both slides to the opposite sides. Although they claim having the slides in the middle gives you more distance. So you potentially can chose between distance and forgiveness a bit. Although how much difference they actually make in reality is another question.
