The Beast has gone.....

Haven't used my Amazon Firestick for over a month which was fully loaded with The Beast (Kodi), I went to fire it up yesterday to watch the Leicester match and it's gone!

I double clicked my home button whilst in Amazon and it only goes to the Amazon Apps listings, it used to go straight to The Beast (Kodi) home page, but it's gone?!

Anyone know of this, experienced it this themselves or have heard about it on the grapevine or even better, got a fix?

I heard they saw where it went, but because of age when they got there they had forgot.

Always a risk with any of the android sticks with one of the big company wrappers around it.

If there's no solution online (I suspect that there will be if you have enough of a root about, people are very adept at getting round things like this), it might be worth getting something like a PI, which is not under the control of 'the man'.

Mind you, I haven't looked at mine this morning, maybe it's gone too....

Check in the manage my Apps settings , it may still be there, but just not showing on the favourite screen.:thup:

I bought a firestick for this reason god knows how many months ago and still haven't got round to setting it up.

Firestarter (the app that watches for home button presses) hasn't worked for a while, but the same time that stopped working, the recent tab included kodi which it hadn't previously.

I can't speak for a build because I just put the apps I wanted on myself.

Everything else works as before, so if you find where it's hiding it should still work as normal.

Thanks everyone, I have found it now in the Apps folder so it hasn't disappeared, however, I tried to use a few different links through Red Devil, Turk, Cric and a couple more and all of them stated no link available when I tried to put the football on yesterday afternoon!

I'll try to see if a TV show loads up later, if not I may need more help, I'm very much a plug 'n play person so if it's too complicated it could get dismissed completely and only used for Amazon.

Exodus seems to be going strong still, it's annoying chopping and changing between apps when they inevitably stop working, but as you get so much content for pretty much free I can't complain!

If you're still struggling with it in a few weeks and can live with individual apps rather than a build, I'll take it off you at one of our matches and give it you back at the next one if you like.

Not sure if you get it on the firestick, but sportsdevil/mamahd works for me on the PI as a go-to (though sometimes has its moments).

Sports devil is ok but not an add on as such it's more a portal for access to links. It's still decent.

Best sports add is sports mania, it is a subscription site at £50 odd quid a year but quality of streams is good.

I've lost everything now, can't even get my Amazon and I'm subscribed to Prime for another 5 months! Just got a blue screen when I put it in!

plenty of instructions on google to reload your firestick, i have found wookie is a decent alternative
