It’s an issue with a lot of modern cars both EV and Ice - relying too much on the electronics that more than likely go wrong more than an engine

Option C: a software bug in the Tesla prevented it moving. It wouldn't be the first time.
 
There are plenty of carwow videos where they drive different EVs to the end, none of them died suddenly. And plenty do brick themselves. One must be a proper tool to let that happen.

You are adamant that it was done deliberately. But there's a general principle that one should not ascribe to malice that which can be explained by incompetence.
Other plausible possibilities are that a software bug made the car think it had run out of battery power. Or failed to warn the driver that it was about to.

Totally agree, not to mention there were 48 150 kwh Tesla superchargers in the car park. Why would you drive your car which would be in ''limp mode'' passed the chargers.

Looking at these arguments make me laugh. Conspiracy theories abound. I prefer facts myself.
However, lets not forget to a lot of people, cars an appliance, like their fridge, microwave or washing machine. How many people know how to do basic things like clean their lint filter out of their tumble dryer, clean their dishwasher to keep the gunk out, clean the brushes on their vacuum cleaner? They expect things to work without having to do anything. The days of carrying out work on you own car, or even understanding how it works, are long gone.

True story. I once worked with a bloke who had a Datsun Sunny. He came into the office one day to say the red light on his dashboard had gone out. His colleagues went out to check it, and it turned out to be his oil light. He had been driving with it on for weeks/months without doing anything about it. The only reason the light went out was the bulb in it failed. He'd knackered his engine as a result.

Never rule out the level of incompetency of some people.

To tight to pay premium prices so trying to limp home!
Same as ICE drivers who won’t pay motorway petrol prices then run out of gas.

You can’t stop stupid people driving!

Perhaps the reason so many people are trying to avoid EV's as much as possible is because they can be too similar to a domestic appliance, with their over reliance on networks and built with dumbed down components.

Good point, and with more modern appliances being not economically viable to repair its no wonder people are sceptical of these tech reliant EVs.
