Sounds like it was better, will give it a watch tonight

I've actually been quite enjoying it but it is very over-the-top Americanised.
That’s a bold strategy Cotton…The commentary team are straight from the movie Dodgeball
They need more novelty things. My thoughts are that the build out is very impressive indeed.
Having watched 3 episodes before forming my opinion, I think long term people will get bored of watching golfers hit into a screen.
It cant be taken seriously as a golfing competition, especially when shots are not going where they are supposed to.
It was not a good look hearing Tiger say "I cant hit this club that far" after his ball airmailed a green into a water hazard.
Also then Max Homa heard saying "I didnt hook that" as he watched his ball hook into a canyon.
So if its not serious golf then its entertainment.
Its struggling to hold my attention as entertainment for 2 hrs, this should be an hour long show for me.
If there is one thing we could take from this to real golf, it would be the shot clock.
The pace of play is really good because of that.

But was there a two on one, menage-a-trois of pain?I'm seeing a lot of parallels. The sudden death closest to the pin was hyped up as if it was one of the greatest sporting moments of all time. Pepper needs new shorts.
Americans don't like a draw (can't bring myself to call it a tie)Yeah, the nearest the pin was poor. I'm not really sure why they can't just have ties, but after 15 holes to settle it all with four shots? Seemed a bit of an afterthought
Can see TGL getting OWGR points soon if Tiger and Rory have anything to do with it.
Not a good look for the Full Swing equipment to see players using the GC Quad whilst practising to calibrate themselves to the system
Read that Fleetwood has a complete misread from the sim, and as for this....
I forgot it was on, and I won't be rushing to watch it on repeat. It was interesting the first night, but watching episodes after that (albeit in fast forward) is just got very very samey. Just feels like you are tuning in to see 6 guys having a bit of banter on a simulator (which is exactly what you are doing). I'm desperately trying to figure out what aspects of it will generate constant engagement from the TV viewers. It doesn't have:I tried to watch the few mins of highlights this morning on the Sky Sports YouTube highlights….I barely lasted 90 seconds —- maybe this is something that is better not in ‘highlights’ form, but it seemed so disjointed, lacklustre, lacking in atmosphere for starters…100% not for me
It seems we have broadly four strata of golf entertainment then, from the almost throw-away homemade at one end, to serious golf at the other. Increasing from the trivial to the serious sport :I forgot it was on, and I won't be rushing to watch it on repeat. I ask myself, why should I watch it again? I genuinely can't think of one good reason why I should.
- Reward - watching people genuinely happy for achieving something
- Jeopardy - seeing people fighting for survival, and the emotions of achieving or failing
- Audience participation - like a game show, where the audience can even try and answer questions at home that are being asked to the people on TV
- Love Interest - I'm just making stuff up now, like people tuning in to watch a Golf Love Island
- Comedy - Having someone that can make you laugh throughout, which sort of happened every time Kevin Kisner had a shot to play in fairness.
