I feel the team stuff would just be a lot better say if it was countries to have at least a little something to link to, hard I know with the amount of Americans involved but say an American team, an Irish team, British team, Japan and Korea, Australia etc.

Even brands teams would be better than what it is
Agreed that would help people become more attached to Teams. Sadly, it isn't really practical as isn't it effectively associated with the PGAT?

Most golfers on PGAT are American, so if it was countries the many of the top players on PGAT couldn't play (if they don't make US side). And how many other countries have 3 or more players on PGAT.

Perhaps it could be broken down even more, where the US players represent States rather than the entire USA? I'm sure many States are over and under represented on US, but they could be flexible. Like allowing a player to represent a State if they've even just visited it, or their gran lived there.

Are you aware that the teams are based on cities? And there’s flexibility here because the players aren’t necessarily representing their home city.

Trying to create a fake team element is not a winning formula. They need to find a way to make the teams have some sort of identity.

Not really. I believed they were golf clubs based all around the US. But wasn't sure how the players were connected with those golf clubs, or why those golf clubs were chosen as teams.

It literally explained why in that very video
Yeah I know, but wouldn't it have made sense to go with the most accurate sim set up, over one that Tiger has a deal with? I'm pretty sure as TGL is a start up he could have found a way to not use the Full Swing tech. Or is Tiger just all about Tiger?

As I said earlier they seem to be very low-tech for the hyped up “tech-based” show. The graphic is low res and washed out on that big projection screen and they don’t even switch to the projection feed, instead insisting on showing the screen which then looks even worse.

As for launch monitors, they should at least switch to the new TM and Titleist balls that are made for LM. However, any LM will have misreads, they need to figure out how to deal with them - another thing they “missed”.

💯 % think they may have something here if they mixed up the players.

I.e

1 x pro golfer (with a personality)
1 x sports celeb
1 x media celeb
1 x woman with boobs

I'd agree, I guess when I was growing up the 'golf that wasn't really golf' thing was A Round with Alliss - 2 golfers, 2 celebs, lots of jokes and stories and a little bit of matchplay between the teams. It was staple TV for our family, however it was played on some terrific golf courses which added to the appeal. TGL probably needs to go down this route, and become a show rather than trying to be all about the sport.

Like YouTube, you mean

Not sure who this guy is and if he has a vested interest in Foresight - but it's pretty clear there are some occasional glitches in the tracer technology TGL are using.

GC Quad is renowned for it's accuracy - it does make you wonder why they just didn't go with that.

It really doesn't matter if the launch monitor is not accurate. It's light entertainment.

Bamberdele has summed it up, they need more appealing contestants. Paige Spirinac > Matt Fitzpatrick.
