The earlier time slot meant I was able to watch some of this live yesterday - it is awful.
I can't even give you any spoilers as it was that dull, I don't even know who was leading, let alone who won. Fowler was playing - he looked different in his glasses, granted I haven't really watched him play in a while... but that was the standout point of note for me, and Finau not really understanding what was going on - which is fair enough.

Yeah he’s probably not relatable to anyone under 25. But this is golf, average age of viewers probably in their 50’s. He’s still relevant to the majority of golf fans.

I don’t keep watching it, it’s normally on in the middle of the night. I do see some clips on X though, last night was an opportunity to watch some live and it was gash. Turned it off and watched a Golfmates video instead - far more entertaining

Woods should start doing some youTube stuff. I'd like to see him play 18 holes against Jimmy Bullard, something like that.
Just watched Shiels play 9 against Bryson, but Bryson was only allowed to use his Driver, Wedge and Putter

I guess he doesn't need the publicity or the money, so he doesn't really have the incentive.
But, it will be the way he could really stay in the golf limelight once he finally realises that he just doesn't have what it takes to compete at the top of the game. I guess it can be really hard to give that up, when it is all you have known and you are addicted to the competition of golf.

He did get on the green (or around it anyway) with a wedge on a par 3 over 200 yards long. And I think on a par 5, his second shot was only around 130 yards, but he basically had to putt his wedge to take distance off his approach.Probably what he uses on a normal round

He still "moves the dial". TV ratings are noticeably higher when he plays, even though he's not in contention. Nobody really watched the PNC tournament until Tiger started playing with his son. People still worship him, he's an icon, millions of people consider him to be cool and hang on every word he says.

Maybe so.
But I am so very glad my friends, family and social groups are not those people..
(Nothing really against Tiger at all. But for adults to fawn like that over any other adult is pretty much Mega LOLz in my book)

Just show highlights, edit out all dead air and the standing around pretending someone "historic " is happening, and you'd get a better product.

I’ve had a little go at watching but couldn’t be bothered with it - just rubbish.
Besides - I’m not a fan of wealthy people/celebs getting together to earn more money off the back of their celebrity…paid for by poor old Joe Soap…especially when the vehicle is a totally confected one created for that one purpose…making more money for the wealthiest. Give to charity all your winnings lads and then I might be less judgemental.
