The trouble is here in Surrey is we have some top courses nearby so it's easy to look down on certain courses.

Just because a course is cheap doesn't necessarily make it a bargain. I've paid 3 figures for some courses and felt that was a bargain.

Three figures is getting silly prices for ordinary working golfers.
The odd once in a lifetime round fair enough but would not class them as a bargain.

I'd most definitely class myself as an "ordinary working golfer" but have paid 3 figures a few times now in my short time of playing golf and always felt like I'd had value for money.
