TaylorMade SLDR Fitting Opportunity

Missed out on golden ticket. Still, filming Everton v Chelsea for sky on the saturday so not all bad. Would love to get a camera on the golf though. Live the dream. Acrington this Saturday. Good golf and good drinking. Congratulations to the lucky ones look forward to reading about your day. Enjoy.

I have a new biggest regret in life - volunteering to help GM decide what the new covers should look like - 2 hours in GM towers, half a dozen Pro V and a cap then miss out of every decent Opportunity since.

4 years of unblemished record, countless emails and yet nothing worthwhile.

H4H in October then as Duncan would say - "I'm oot".

Seriously - or tongue in cheek?! I'm sure they get loads of entries and the fact is without their generous offerings we wouldn't even have hope!

Don't take it personally :mmm:

Here here. These are fantastic opportunities that we all wish we could have, it cannot be an enviable task shifting through hundreds of emails to pick out 3 lucky forumers. Everyone will have there reason for it being them.
Good luck to those selected it is a fabulous expierience from feedback received from previous years fittings, hope they all have a great day and the new SLDR's work well enjoy! And don't forget to tell the rest of us green eyed monsters all about it.

Well done to the winners. Hopefully the day will be a good one, I think from previous days I would say the experience is usually unparalleled .... fingers crossed I get to do one in the future.

I can vouch that being involved in that evening certainly doesn't mean that you won't get chance to go on any of these amazing days with GM - as I was there.

GM tend to have a rough idea of the sort of handicap levels for these sort of things (ie cat 1, cat 2, cat 3 etc). If they've already found someone for that category, you're probably not going to be picked.

From (poor) memory, Paul wasn't involved in the covers stuff last year. That was something which was voluntary on our part to give feedback on a magazine that we all read. I certainly wasn't expecting anything from that evening so the freebies we got were an awesome surprise. I would be almost certain that this was not a deciding factor in who got chosen for this SLDR opportunity.

Have an amazing day guys, I'm sure you will! Hopefully you get nicer weather than our day back in March!

Various peoples points well made, humble pie being eaten, tall horse being dismounted and apologies issued.

Note to self - don't post on forum after night in pub. :(
