If SPOTY requires the individuals to have a personality - then that leads to likes of Marcus Rashford being a front runner on basis of what he has done in respect of meals for children out of term time - despite his relative lack of footballing prominence this year. And it potentially pushes him ahead of such as Hamilton in the personality stakes.

It was - sadly no more for me - though I might watch it if I spot that it's on. For me it was the annual review aspect that I really enjoyed as I get the impression that we didn't really see much in the way of sporting highlights being repeated after the event. And Sports Review of the Year provided a great roll-up of everything that had happened through the year - it was just part of the lead up to Christmas.

I will be watching, and enjoying, tonight as i do every year. It has its detractors but for me i couldn't care less who wins, its just a good look back over the years sport, and the part remembering who we have lost always brings a lump to the throat.

Hadn't realised Fury wanted his name removed from the list - BBC should have obliged.
I had read that a few weeks ago.
Anyone remember the film Brewster’s Millions, when Montgomery Brewster implored voters to vote for “None Of The Above”, and promptly raced into a commanding lead in the polls? I can see the same happening here, with Fury winning by a country mile. I’m going to vote for him purely because I’m feeling mischievous.
