Spam adverts

There have been a lot of new members advertising products over the last few days, it looks like a concerted attack on the Forum. Is there no vetting procedure?

I think the system relies on vigilant forummers pressing the report button.

I've reported about 6 in the last couple of days. The point I was making was that there are many more than usual.

All the Mods are probably on a go-slow, meaning we vigilant forummers come into our own.

Yeah there have been a lot more than normal in the last couple of days

Thanks for reporting and not replying to them as this can make it harder for us to get rid.

There is a vetting procedure which flags up people who want to join who have the same IP addresses as previously banned spammers or a bot is detected
But it isnt infallible

Spam accounts. Lots have had the website in the post title as well.
